The bad new is that a large dog is 75 meters away and he literally barks all night long. Don't know how he can manage it ! I needed ear plugs and white noise music to sleep."

"Burgau is a great family holiday destination with a gorgeous beach and lots of restaurants cafes etc. The lower appartment was super clean and a nice size with air conditioning which worked well. It was a quick easy walk to the beach but quiet at night- maybe thanks to the shutters on the windows. The roof terrace was brilliant- lovely big space which was shared with my parents who stayed in the appartment above us.. we may not have enjoyed sharing with people we didn’t know. "We, two couples in our 70’s, spent three nights at the House By The Sea. Overall, the experience was positive. The house is showing some signs of aging, but was clean, comfortable and spacious. "About 1 week before we arrived, the hosts informed me that the unit next door had started off-season renovations, and we could cancel if we wanted. We decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, the noise was too much, and we were forced to alter our plans. The hosts quickly arranged a refund of the unused nights. "Located in the centre of the village. There's a good grocery shop 2 minutes' walk away for all needs (closed lunchtimes, Sundays and public holidays). Restaurants mostly closed in winter but there's a good little cafe. There's a rail station (Mex. Grande) under 10 mins walk away that may look abandoned but has a schedule along the coastal railway, buy ticket on train with cash only. Infrequent trains so we used the ride share app to get to the coast which was as cheap as 2 going by train/bus....
