Stunning cottage in tranquil, beautiful area.
We spent a wonderful week in this delightful house, which has everything you could need for a perfect holiday. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting numerous other historical towns and villages. There are so many interesting places to visit a week is not really enough time. We will definitely be returning. Jean-Paul was the perfect host and was kind enough to meet us at the nearest town to guide us to the cottage.

Perfect location for peace and quite
Me and my wife spent a week in this amazing please (1st week of October2023, perfect weather). If you look for peace and quiet and a magnificent views from the terrace , this is the place. Ideal location for exploring nearby villages and gorging on local organic food and wines.

Beautiful property. Beautiful views
The sound of cow bells from the terrace is so relaxing. The views are terrific. Visited old haunts like Cordes and Albi and new ones Rocamadour and Najac. Had a great holiday in a lovely house. Jean Paul met us in St Andre de Najac, very easy place to meet and he led us to the house. Very helpful and friendly. Thanks JP

A month in the countryside
The house was charming, beautifully decorated and felt like a home not just a house. It was set on a hillside overlooking the rolling hills and fields of a beautiful rural landscape. Our host Jean-Paul was always available by text and responded immediately to our questions and requests. He met us when we first arrived and explained everything about the house and then drove us to the local village to show us where to get groceries and fuel for the car. We really enjoyed our month there, visiting the medieval villages, chateaux and abbeys.There was so much to see, and at the end of a day of sight-seeing, we had a lovely home to come back to. Thank you for that Jean-Paul!

Excellent Property
La Boudarie is an excellent property in a lovely location. The house is cosy but cool in hot spells. The kitchen well equipped and shower room modern. The house has both a spacious patio, separate balcony and shady garden, so lots of places to sit outdoors as the sun moves round. And the outside dining table is a great space to eat and lounge. There’s no amenities within walking distance but the supermarket, patisserie and butchers at La Fouillard is only 5 minutes drive away. The local Relais has a good restaurant. And plenty to visit at Varen, St Antonin, Villefranche abd Najac. A great stay with very helpful hosts

Beautiful, character filled stone cottage in an idyllic location
Jean-Paul’s cottage is absolutely charming and looks exactly like the photos - we loved the week we spent there. Everything we needed was provided and the location is idyllic. We especially loved the peace and tranquillity and the stunning views from the terrace across the countryside towards the village. As for Jean-Paul, he is a wonderful host. He was there to meet us the day we arrived and took the time to explain everything to us. He really did make us feel very welcome and we appreciated his attention to detail. Communication was prompt and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Jean-Paul’s cottage to anyone who is planning a sojourn to the French countryside. Merci beaucoup, Jean-Paul, it was a pleasure to meet you.

A true rural hide-away; homely, charming, authentic and spacious
It was a complete delight to be able to stay here--and not just as booked in urgency after original let was not what it said on the box! Here, at M.Zanca's personal second home, one is totally at home, and in total privacy. While the kitchen is full of every implement or basic ingredient to make wonderful food, the grand, airy salon has true class and, at the far end, huge old windows that overlook reams of undulating fields and woods from high. A few farmsteads in the distance and the odd farmer working in the fields make the scene bucolic... Swimming down on the gorgeous River Viaur is five minutes by car. The large terrace is fantastic, with a great shady area for eating / entertaining. But the kitchen has fabulous French doors that open onto the terrace, if too hot out; or indeed the elegant 'salon' / dining room is lovely. The two bedrooms are on different floors, & the lower bedroom also accesses the outside (as does the upper bedroom) so good space for sets of couples / couples & children! Fabulous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious, beautiful, and perfectly located 'maison en pierre'. The house breathes the atmosphere of a French family home, complete with tasteful decorations and furniture, and offers great views of the rolling hills from the terrace. The owner gave us a friendly welcome and, having left us, called us later on to ask if we were all right. He even returned to provide us with a set of new deck chairs. The Rouergue, though relatively undisturbed by tourism, has a great many activities and sites of interest to offer. Just to mention a few highlights in the immediate vicinity: Najac with its landmark castle-on-a-rock, the fortified towns of Cordes-sur-Ciel and St Antonin-Nobleval, Villefranche de Rouergue with its fortified church, Carthusian abbey of St. Sauveur and Chapelle des Pénitents Noirs, the Cistercian abbeys of Beaulieu and Loc Dieu… I made several pastel drawings of the surroundings and would love to revisit this house in spring or autumn, if only to witness the change in light. Excellent accueil de Jean Paul et Sandrine. Location très bien située pour la pratique des activités extérieures et les visites culturelles. Il n’y manque rien au niveau intendance. Elle offre confort et calme au milieu de la campagne, ce qui est appréciable après une journée de canoë sur l’Aveyron ou la visite d’Albi par exemple. Les abords de la rivière Le Viaur, non loin de la location, offrent aussi des espaces pour la randonnée, l’escalade et la baignade. Nous avons passé un très très bon séjour 😃😃

Maison agréable, au calme et avec une jolie vue sur la nature
Nous avons passé deux semaines dans cette belle maison bien équipée, localisée au bout d’un chemin et offrant de fait le calme et une vue dégagée sur la campagne. La région aux alentours est magnifique, tant en termes de nature que de villes, villages et lieux chargés d’histoire à visiter. La gastronomie est également au rendez-vous pour les amateurs de bonne chaire: fromages, charcuterie et vins de région valent le déplacement. Monsieur Zanca a toujours été disponible et très cordial. Je recommande cette location, vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance, aucune mauvaise surprise.

La maison de M Castel-Zanca est superbe et idéale pour déconnecter. Elle est entourée de bois et champs aucun bruit parasite mais proche de villages pour faire les achats courants. La région est top, très vallonnée, il y a de magnifiques villages à visiter et de belles randonnées à faire. Nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer M Castel-Zanca qui est très sympathique. Ce séjour fût très agréable.

Mooie plek in de middle of nowhere
Mooi huis in de natuur, heel afgelegen en voorzien van alle gemakken zoals uitgebreide keukengerei en een prima douche. Jammer dat de wifi het niet goed deed vanwege een storm. Aardige host, bleek pas na wat doorvragen meer mogelijk bijv ten aanzien van handdoeken en beddengoed en een extra bed toen onze kinderen niet echt in het gezamenlijke bed bleken te passen. Meubels en bedden wat muf en gedateerd en veel persoonlijke spullen in het huis.

Prachtige locatie, zeer vriendelijken eigenaar. Goed bed en fijne douche. Mooie inrichting van de woning. Tip, wat ruimte voor je eigen spullen. Kastjes zijn erg vol. Ook voor kleding etc. Absoluut een aanrader !

Très agréable séjour dans cette belle maison authentique et fonctionnelle. Belle pièce principale qui reste fraîche aux fortes chaleurs et petite terrasse couverte en cas d'averses... Pas de voisin, pas de vis à vis, et un panorama verdoyant et vallonné qu'une grande terrasse permet d'apprécier. Diverses belles visites dans les environs entre 10 mn et une heure de route...(Najac, Laguépie, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Albi, Penne, Saint Cirq Lapopie.......) Propriétaire arrangeant quant à l'horaire d'arrivée et de départ, et bonne communication. Gîte plein de charme !

Maison dans un environnement ressourçant
Maison ancienne comme on les aime dans un très bel environnement. Superbe vue et chant des oiseaux du matin au soir, notre séjour est passé trop vite et nous n'avons pas eu le temps de faire toutes les balades du coin. Nous recommandons vivement cette location et son propriétaire qui a su nous accueillir avec beaucoup de sympathie. Un grand merci !
