"The property could be amazing and is in the best location but it was very dirty on arrival and one of the toilets did not flush. I would say in its present state, it is not fit for rental. The main house is very well appointed and recently renovated with a huge TV, pool table, lovely cooker and the bedrooms were very large and beautifully appointed. "With 7 members of the party keen to surf every day, this was an ideal location - 10 mins drive from Gurp beach (with a small parade of cafes and restaurants just beyond the campsite). Kleines mango, die Bäder sind klein und wenig ablagemöglichkeiten bei 7 Personen gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auch ist nur ein Bad für alle zugänglich, das eine Bad ist in einem Schlafzimmer mit dabei. The restaurant in Bages was a 5 minute walk and was lovely also although unless you have a car (or arrange a taxi which can be quite expensive we foune) there are not so many options around other than that but the hotel itself is nice enough to want to stay! "7 friends stayed at the chateau for the marathon du medoc. The property is very large and beautiful. Quiet and tranquil. A nice hotel in Margaux

"We had a great time at Hotel de Margaux. We stayed in the Suite Vénitienne which is a large apartment in a little chateau close to the hotel with a view on a nice pool and a vineyard. The host was very nice. Too bad that their restaurant was closed and we had to go outside for dinner."

"If you are looking for a quiet countryside experience in the Bordeaux region with some of the most caring and adorable hosts possible look no further. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is always fresh and a great way to start a day of wine exploration in the region, and the overall atmosphere is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The crew that manages the guests are genuinely helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They patiently answered a thousand questions, even made dinner for us after their kitchen was closed when we came home hungry. The crew made our stay extra special. Notice i said come home. Thats how you feel at Chateau Meyre. At home!! Note: the Chateau is a bit remote and you need a rental car preferably or the chateau can find you a taxi but be prepared to pay for it since the distance to Bordeaux city and varied food options is a bit far. Highly recommend for an adorable French countryside experience. "
