It is under new ownership and when I was there Restaurant not open so not sure if they will have one.Room clean,a good size and bed comfortable but not much around location.Highlight for me was big car wash /Total Énergies over the main road! "Our stay at the cottage was ok, the pool is lovely and the hot tub is a plus. The cottage is very small, we are a family of 4 which was tight. 6 people would be too many as there is only a sofa bed to sit on in the living room so people have to sit at the dinner table in the evening. Thankfully we didn’t need to use the sofa bed as it was broken. We did inform the owner who said she was aware it was broken but didn’t say it would be fixed or a new sofa bought. Hotel Le Lion d'Or et restaurant la Table du Lion

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. Excellent location for visiting the DDay memorials ,and seeing the sights in Bayeux. Great restaurants and shopping within a short walk. In the evening after our excursions, it was so nice to come back to the hotel where there was a warm fire in the bar and comfortable seating to relax a bit. The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious every morning. It included many options and everything was fresh and tasty. The woman who was in the restaurant every morning was kind and made our dining experience wonderful. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Monday and our schedule prevented us to have dinner in the restaurant, la Table du Lion? The menu looked special and everyone said the food was delicious. Hopefully, we will get to try it on our next trip to Bayeux. "

"Absolutely spacious, comfortable, and convenient lodging with 3 separate bedrooms with on-suite full baths in the heart of beautiful and quaint Bayeux. What more could you ask for? Accommodations were above and beyond expectations as was the multitude of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, not to mention the gorgeous cathedral and the fascinating tapestry museum. It's also a close drive to the WWII museums and cemetery as well as the must see Mont Saint-Michel. Highly recommended!"
