"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

"We had such a lovely stay at L'Echappee Belle. The rooms are comfy, spacious and clean and the house and grounds are beautiful, with lots of fruit and veg growing throughout the grounds which our hostess Sophie uses for her excellent guest dinners and breakfasts. "In the middle of the countryside but with shops only a short drive away, it was the perfect setting for a family holiday. We very much enjoyed our stay which was very relaxing and our al-fresco meals were an absolute delight.
