"There were 12 of us in total for our stay, adults and young children. Emeline managed to find 3 cots, highchairs/booster seats and baby baths for us which really helped with our young children. We had a lovely time at the house Frederick and Emeline were very friendly and helpful, they live on site but they are not intrusive. Although our group was split over 2 different houses the outside table was large enough for us all to eat together. The best thing was the pool area which was fantastic...

"We have stayed at this property twice, lovely, clean,modern and a great host. The house is attached to the owners home which is surrounded by a lovely large garden. There is a double bed upstairs which is a mezzanine. Downstairs has everything you need plus a double sofa bed. We were there for 3 wks and loved being there. Close to Talmont and short drive to beach. "

"Le gîte est une grande maison campagnarde au calme avec un très grand jardin. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable à 2 familles (11 personnes) sans avoir l’impression d’être « les uns sur les autres », ce qui était précieux. Ce gîte de campagne a aussi les défauts de ses qualités (mobilier un peu ancien, débit de l’eau limité quand les 3 douches fonctionnent en même temps), mais il a un indéniable cachet que nous avons beaucoup apprécié."

"The property is well fitted out and has everything one needs for a trouble free and relaxing holiday. I surrounded by farms and hence is peaceful and very quiet at night. Getting bread for breakfast did involve using my car to cover the 2 miles or so to the village. Jard sur Mar is only about 10 miles away and is a lovely seaside town with a fine harbour and is well worth a visit, as are the other towns and villages in the region. I will definitely consider returning in the future."

"Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le calme et l'environnement extérieur de cette belle ferme rénovée, également la proximité des plages et des sables d'Olonne. La maison est bien équipée au niveau de la cuisine et nous avons apprécié le lave linge et sèche linge (non précisé dans l'annonce). Attention à bien aérer, les maisons de bord de mer sont toujours un peu humide."

"Our gite was compact and cosy, but with a lovely walk in shower, well stocked and well located. Quiet and friendly site with shared swimming pool, also close to the fine beaches. Our hosts were very accommodating even treating all the guests to hors d’oeuvres and drinks one evening."

The inaccuracy of the listing was our main issue - there is no washer or dryer, as listed, and the host (whilst lovely) did want to charge us extra for the towels and bedding (listed as included).
