"This is NOT a hotel! The front desk explained that it is a condo rental. That means you do not get any cleaning, even with a8 night stay. And you get 1 bath towel, nothing else. No replacement towels, and no hand towel or washcloths. And you get 1 roll of toilet paper, then you have to buy it yourself. Having said that, the front desk staff was very helpful, when they were present. And it is only 1 block to the beach. If you have a larger rental car, beware of the enclosed parking spaces...

"We had a fantastic time staying at this gite, with three generations of our family. The house is well equipped and very comfortable - and has lots of space for bikes to be stored. It is a short cycle ride to Saint-Martin, to the centre of Bois-Plage (where there is a market every day during the summer) and to the beach. We would recommend the house to other large family groups!"

It’s a condo!

"This is NOT a hotel! The front desk explained that it is a condo rental. That means you do not get any cleaning, even with a8 night stay. And you get 1 bath towel, nothing else. No replacement towels, and no hand towel or washcloths. And you get 1 roll of toilet paper, then you have to buy it yourself. Having said that, the front desk staff was very helpful, when they were present. And it is only 1 block to the beach. If you have a larger rental car, beware of the enclosed parking spaces l. They are tiny. And we had no idea that we needed a parking reservation, but you do. And you are expected to clean up when you leave, taking sheets off the beds, and taking the trash to the disposals outside. We don’t require a lot, and everything was functional and clean. I would stay there again. I was just expecting something different. "

It was disappointing to arrive at 11am and have to make up my own bed, and though the hotel was far from full when I arrived, I was given a room which looked out onto a square at the back and had a footpath running along right outside my window. Apartments looking onto the gardens (which I have had in the past) would have been much better. On the day of departure Reception were helpful in looking after my bags until I left St Martin in the afternoon."
