"The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields. The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. It was a great location for our extended family getaway. The pool was perfect and provided good shade for the children. There is a sandpit and a wooden lookout that are not pictured, but were a lovely surprise. The house was spotlessly...

"The gite was perfect for the 4 of us that stayed. We had a lovely fortnight in the dordogne, the gite had everything we needed. The outdoor area was equally if not better than the house itself and the pool was lovely. The fact it was slightly heated made it all the more better. The host was very attentive, replying quickly to any queries and the concierge that is on hand to help with any issues equally as helpful."

"The amount of facilities and space this property has is huge and will keep you and your family entertained whatever the weather! The pool is fantastic, accessible straight off of the upstairs living space and a is really good size, retaining the sun throughout the day. It was in excellent condition during our stay. "The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are alright too. But the location of the hotel is convenient only if the purpose of your trip is to visit the Cartoon Museum, which is around the corner. To get to the old town, where all the monuments, museums, churches, and restaurants are, you have to walk up a steep hill for fifteen minutes."

"We had such a delightful stay at this lovely hotel - a beautiful setting, extremely comfortable rooms and public spaces, and exceptionally attentive, helpful, and friendly staff. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for from the moment of arrival to our departure. Breakfast was also delicious, and the sound of the river rushing by outside our window and the dining room was heavenly. A very special place, very special people, and surely one of the one of the loveliest hotels in the area."

"Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from reception which is a minor but unnecessary inconvenience. The rooms were spotless, as were the interestingly decorated communal areas. The only disappointment was the breakfast which was very standard and not so well maintained if you don’t get there first thing. Oddly, they serve your coffee in a jug with no top which means it goes cold very quickly which is very frustrating. "

"The house is very beautiful- however it has been totally bodged and feels unloved and badly maintained The two main problems were the dark green filthy pool and the 3rd bathroom being flooded and unusable The host asked us for a cash sum of €215 if we wanted sheets and"

"Perfectly located to stay for an early train departure for CDG. 12 minute easy walk to Centre of Angoulême for large variety of restaurants. The area is not very desirable but it is opposite the train station $ that was the objective. Very clean room but unfortunately no fridge or tea/coffee facility in room."
