"Vacances au calme dans au centre d'un petit village typique de la Haute Loire, proche des sentiers de randonnée et des spots de baignade. De nombreuses visites de villes et villages dans les environs. Maison bien adaptée à notre famille avec grands enfants et neveux, moins bien adaptée à notre chien qui aurait nécessité un grand jardin clôturé. Merci à notre hôte pour sa gentillesse et pour les œufs de la ferme. ."

Heureusement, il restait des chalets disponibles… dans la partie prévue pour les hôtes d’un jour, donc : stationnement loin du chalet. Pas de 4G (ni de wifi, of course). Piscine fermée 4 jours avant la date prévue. Par contre: accueil sympa, excellent couchage et chalet très propre."

"We loved the gite, it was clean, everything was well catered for and it had a great setting. Michel and Martine were great hosts and left us to enjoy our holiday but were around if we needed them. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would recommend to friends to stay there and we would gladly go back. The rugby matches we saw in St Etienne were great, fantastic atmosphere and great to watch with people from so many different countries attending."

"We really enjoyed our 2weeks here. The morning sunrises were amazing! Loved having the space to spread out, it is quite a hill to walk up on the way back from town but we got used to it and helped our fitness! The town has so much to see and again we loved being able to see the 3 major icons from our house. Just be aware it has stairs(15 steps to first level and 15 to top level, very squeaky too ha! ) was fine for us but incase u r older or impaired could be an issue."

"The hamlet of Le Mirial was delightful, a truly peaceful away from it all. Madame Albaret, who looks after the keys, was most welcoming and helpful. In fact everyone in the hamlet was friendly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with miles of quiet walks. You could not ask for a lovelier Auvergne holiday retreat. Unfortunately the gite itself was a great disappointment. Superb bedrooms finished with style, also evident in kitchen units and equipment. Unfortunately the kitchen and cooking facilities are barely adequate for two self catering for six days. Inevitably, if the four wonderful double bedrooms are occupied even making everyone a coffee would be impossible! The loos require some contortionist skills to enter, and...

Le calme, la forêt et ses chemins partant directement de la maison, ainsi que la jolie maison de pierre fraiche nous ont permis de profiter d'une température agréable alors que l'extérieure dépassait les 30°. For the savings, I would probably stay in the budget Ibis again because it had everything I needed and it was right across from the train station.
