"Great south-facing deck. Clean and functional cottage. Ceiling fans work really well to keep the rooms cool. Gas and charcoal BBQs worked well. Cottage is newly renovated and clean. All supplies working well. One thing to note is that access to water is a set of 38 or 40 stairs (solid stairs). The dock currently has no ladder. The bottom is mucky and weedy. But the place was so great that it is was a minor inconvenience. Thanks for having us and being responsive to our needs."

Especially the kitchen was tremendous- cookware was high quality, knives were sharp- overall an excellent experience if you like to cook while you vacation. "We are a big family with grandparents, aunts, uncles & grandkids aged 6, 2 and 11 months. Everyone had a spectacular time. This is the best equipped home we’ve seen. The toys, games and movies are incredible. Our 6-year-old could not get enough Family Feud games. The beds and linens are lovely. Kitchen has everything! Two fridges were fantastic. Can’t say enough. We had a wonderful Time."

"Overall it was good but there was missing forks. We also tough that the docking for the boat was very steep and kinda dangerous and we were not aware of this but it’s a good thing we had 4x4 beside having to pay for everything extra it was good stay."

Buyer Beware!!!

"First thing to know is that this cottage does not have wifi or cellular service available!!!!!!! You can make a phone call but it will likely drop if you move. I made the error of assuming that a place that listed a Smart TV would have to have wifi. The host notified me the day before our trip that there would be no WiFi, no firewood (found out that the place is heated by a combination of radiant and wood stove!) and we were “strongly encouraged” to bring our own linens… So more glamping than cottaging. The cottage is beautiful BUT everything we touched was broken! Fridge, dishes, glasses (a total of 4 juice glasses to drink from), dock, outside chair, furniture, etc, etc…. So although clean and with lots of potential…. The place is a dump! Not worth the money or effort or time….. Very, very disappointed!!"

Lovely Lakeside Stay

"4 friends -2 from Ottawa and 2 from Virginia loved our stay here. Very relaxing with all the amenities of home with a spectacular view. one minor thing- small bedroom mattress too hard but we managed fine. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing stay. We even swam in the lake. Thank you!"
