Independent hotels in Salaunes, Bordeaux

"The Hotel de Normandie is in the best possible spot in Bordeaux. It is a block away from the best shopping streets and a couple of blocks away from five excellent restaurants. We had a nice room with a balcony where we could enjoy the balmy nights and sunny mornings on the sixth floor. There was a separate toilet which we appreciated but the shower was over the bath which can be slippery and I needed to be careful. Breakfast was good with a range of pastries and cheese. "Good hotel. Close to the airport - NOT A WALK. Need to get the tram or a taxi. There are closer hotels. Rooms were fine. Beds comfortable and breakfast was good, plenty of options. The hotel is looking a little tired in decor and room specification. "
