We booked a luxury room with balcony with a view of the Rialto Bridge. However, the hotel only has two rooms like this - one room with green decor, which is featured heavily on the website and a second with Red decor. For the first few nights of our stay we were in the 'red' room. The website description of this class of luxury room is 215ft2, with wardrobe and dressing table. The 'red' room is much smaller perhaps about 120ft2 and just wide enough for you to squeeze past the bed. There is no wardrobe or drawers to store clothes. Whilst the view from the balcony is magnificent, the hotel should not be classing both these rooms together. The red room is adequate with a great view, but certainly not luxury .... even for Venice.

There was always a cleaning cart as you stepped off the elevator - made us feel like we were in the worst rooms! Restaurant food was not the best!

Nice room but my partner found it was a little bit dark. I love the turndown service and a thoughtful amenity in the room for my birthday. I wish I could see the whole building of the hotel as it was under construction or something.

"I arrived in Padova very early and the Al Cason staff got my room prepared with just a short wait for early check-in. I liked being congratulated whenever I tried practicing my Italian with them. It's an easy walk from the train station but more out of the way than I'd thought when booking."
