"This is the fourth time we have stayed here, it is an excellent location, however we have noticed that its starting to look down in the dumps, not so much as the amenities, cause its one of the cheapest hotel for a reason, however, the cleanliness was a bit of an issue this time. The blinds were full of mosquito corpses, the bathroom had leaks everywhere, there were dead bugs on the ceiling, the dust on the items was kinda gross. Having said all this, still can't beat the price and location, but...

The alpine aesthetic set the tone along with a fire in the central living room fireplace and Johnson pouring drinks from the charming bar. "We were on foot and able to walk to/from the train station through Annecy which took a leisurely 40 mins (for those so inclined - it’s a hill!). The climb was worth it. Beautiful lake view from our window and pleasant concierge staff. We rented e-bikes (40e/each) for a day and road the beautiful 26mile path around the lake. Also easy access to hiking trails above Les Tresomes. Highly recommend! "
