"We loved our stay at Penelope Villas, the villa was very well kept, spacious, modern, well equipped and in a great location. With just 4 villas it was quiet, but literally a 5 minute drive from Sami main promenade with a great selection of restaurants and shops. The only issue was the air con wasn’t working properly but the owners were very quick to get it fixed. "Clean, safe and nice staff. However, you have to pay extra 20 euros per bed sheet and 10 euro per towel set and 5 euro to use the A, all per stay. Which wasn’t mentioned upon booking. There were no toiletries whatsoever, no dish soap, no toilet paper. Also there was a 100 euro deposit that wasn’t mentioned either. "Clean quirky and quaint little apartment. Never did figure out the WiFi but there are plenty of tavernas and bars close by with wifi The maid was delightful and changed our linen every 3 days and towels every other day plus cleaning the bathroom and removing bins. "We were a happily surprised by our stay as the property is much better in person than in the photos. The owner, Stavros, is an incredible host and takes great pride in providing the best experience possible in every way. The common space is a huge, shaded patio with gorgeous plants and comfortable seating overlooking the charming port town. Location is fantastic and a short walk to many restaurants, etc. The bed was super comfortable (unlike so many we’ve experienced in Greece). We loved the island and would definitely return to Ballas!"

Liladi Stone-Built Villa With Exclusive Pool.

An exceptional property

"Villa Liladi is a simply wonderful villa. My wife and I had a two-week holiday based there and can unreservedly recommend it. Its location is perfect, affording peaceful and stunning views from its terrace of the seas separating Kephalonia from the smaller island of Ithica and the Greek mainland. It is also just some 4 km from the lovely, busy harbour (‘Yachty’ ) town of Fiskardo and just 3 km from the heavenly uncrowded beach at Foki Bay and others near-by. The villa itself is charming, built on a traditional style, and is well equipped for all needs, especially the lovely private swimming pool to enjoy. One of the unexpected delights of the villa is the on-site presence of the housekeeper Makis and his wife, who live discretely in an apartment below the villa. They efficiently answered any queries we had, provided first class service tending the pool etc and gave us home-made treats from their kitchen during our stay. This gesture and the villa itself made our holiday memorable. An exceptional property."

Great apartment in a good location

"My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in September 2024. We loved it. We had a 1 bedroom junior suite with a sea view. The apartment is on the second floor. If you have any mobility problems, please note that there is no lift. The location of the complex is excellent, right on the sea front. The beach, as with many on Kefalonia is stony. This area of the beach has no public facilities so is very quiet. The apartment was large, we had a double balcony. There was air conditioning in both the lounge area and bedroom. It is modern and well furnished. The kitchen area included a large fridge-freezer, hob, toaster kettle and coffee maker. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom,which we were not expecting. The shower had both a waterfall shower head and a second hand-held shower lower down. The hot water came through quickly which isn't always the case. The bed was large, and very comfortable. There was a large built in wardrobe with lots of draw space. Locally, there were two tavernas and a cafe, with a bakery nearby. Sami is a five minute drive away, and in the other direction Agia Elfimia is 10 minutes away. Both have a number of taverans and shops. Karavomylos was a good location for seeing the island. Argostelli was about 30 minutes away, Fiscardo 45 minutes, Assos and Myrtos beach 30 minutes drive. It was a really good apartment in a location that we thought was ideal. "
