They offered to change the room but that room had steep stairs to get to single bedroom down stairs and we had paid for a two bedroom. They should have made sure the shower worked before we arrived. It was dirty,the water was cold no preasure,toilet sit broken,not enough blankets,very cold during the night,super over priced,far away from the city and very broken road to the ranch. "A bit outside the main downtown area it was still close enough to get there and back. Taxis were 70 to 80 pesos and I enjoyed the 2km walks. There's a wonderful cafe just across the street as well."

"We had a wonderful time with extended family here, enough room for everyone! Management and Socoro the caretaker were both very nice people and very helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and quite a treat to have them provided fresh daily for us with 2 kinds of fresh made juices as well!"

"Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Casita del Abuelo. It’s a lovely house and was immaculate when we arrived. Jorge, the host, was very attentive and went above and beyond to welcome us and address our needs. The neighborhood is very pleasant and we were able to walk to a couple different breakfast spots in the morning. We mostly took taxis to and from the Centro but also found the bus to be quite convenient. All in all, we highly recommend La Casita del Abuelo."

"We really enjoyed staying in the apartment, particularly the rooftop patio. The one improvement we would recommend would be to get a few kitchen accessories to make it possible to cook a meal. The place has lots of pots and pans. But there is no toaster. There are no kitchen tools. We would recommend getting a spatula, cooking spoon, tongs, etc--basic tools necessary to make a meal."

"The Flavia hotel is gorgeous with masterfully curated artwork, upscale design and unique furniture. The restaurant on site has incredible food and cocktails. My wife and I loved every aspect of the hotel. The view of Oaxaca city from our room was the highlight. I would like to add that the service was amazing! They were always making sure all of our needs were met, and going above and beyond. One thing that stood out to us was the attention to detail and how knowledgeable everyone was about the art and the city. They offer a tour of the artwork at the hotel and restaurant which we thought was so cool! Lastly, it was so clean and comfortable. We will recommend Flavia to anyone who visits the beautiful city of Oaxaca."
