We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Midas. It’s an easy walk into town, the cafe onsite was excellent and good value, the staff were very helpful. The pool was great, and the tour company (Tukan) were a great choice for exploring Mountain Pine Ridge and its waterfalls and caves. Also great you can get cold purified water free from reception. Only slight irritation was some of my laundry was returned wet inexplicably. It had been sitting around long enough to have a smell and will need to be cleaned again.

We stay at Midas a lot. This time we stayed in a cottage and there were a few broken things like lights and it was just a hard room to deal with the front and bathroom doors. We do love the Midas but we will stay in a room next time again.

The staff at this hotel were all very nice. However, our room was very dated and the refrigerator did not work. When we let the front desk know about the refrigerator, we were given another room which was not a junior suite (like the one we had reserved) but it was newer and had a working refrigerator. The room we moved to was half the size of the room that we had reserved and it didn't have a kitchenette.

Avoid to book a Deluxe room because it is not more than a low standard one.My bed was super soft and I finished with back pain.When I checked in the loo in my bathroom had no cover.The sliding door of the balcony had no locker so anybody could have entered my room.Personnel not very helpful.And the price totally absurd for such a hotel.My advise,book somewhere else.

Convenient but secluded San Ignacio getaway
We had a really nice stay - with accommodations in the quieter bungalows in the back. (I'd recommend booking there and not in the main building - which is close to the parking lot and pool.) The back has a quiet foresty feel compared to the front which is on a main street. The hotel also has an adjacent nature preserve which It was nice to have breakfast available in the morning and the pool was a nice way to cool off. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was good - close to the market, dining and the center of town. A couple of condition notes - in one of our rooms the bathroom sink wasn't secured to the counter. In our kids' room there was no hot water in the shower. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
