With Oaxaca being a place know for good eats, at times there’s leftovers and with the microwave there it was perfect to reheat some food. Half a block away there’s a restaurant Jardon which was delicious, plus a small store to stock up the fridge. "Great apartment up on a hillside with a sweeping view of Oaxaca city. The unit is comfortable, well appointed and has a top floor terrace, very nice for enjoying morning coffee and watching the sun rise over the city. Emily and her father, Anthony are wonderful hosts. Would definitely stay again. "

"We really enjoyed our stay! As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a lot of street noise as it’s such a great central location. I found it easy to sleep just by running the fan as white noise and there are fewer cars and noisy passers-by overnight anyway. The courtyard is beautiful and although our trip was packed with activities so we didn’t spend much time at the house other than to sleep, we’d stay again. Moises was very helpful and responsive. "I stayed for 6 nights and explored Oaxaca city and the surrounding area. This place was perfectly located in the artsy area of the city. There is not a ton of natural light in the main room and middle bedroom, but I stayed in the room with lots of light facing the front entrance and it was duvine. It was great having a kitchen and coffee pot for saving on eating out! But eat out a little as the food in Oaxaca is amazing. "

If you need a quiet room, consider renting one of the apartments that do not front the street. "Outstanding experience. Super clean and functional and beautiful. So many gorgeous spaces to spread out both indoor and outdoor. Bedrooms were spacious with places to sit and read quietly. Dining room was out eating space during the daytime and board game hangout in evening. Rooftop is a dream space with sauna and massive grill, great views for birding and listening to music."

"We loved the proximity to Centro and surrounding neighborhoods. There are plenty of Cafes, restaurants, and markets nearby. The apartment is away from busy streets and is reasonably quiet. The kitchen was well equipped, but we didn't cook while we were there. The beds were comfortable. The rest of the furniture was not comfortable for relaxing. Upgrading the sitting areas would go a long way. We had no issue with hot water. *tip - only turn on the hot water (on the left) and wait 4-5...
