"It was a pretty good stay. Quito is going through some power outages (due to the drought), so we had power off a lot of the time we were there at the property. But that's not necessarily the owner's fault -- everyone in Quito is getting their energy cut right now. Overall, it was a good deal, located up in a relatively safe area (in the financial district). I'm not sure I'll ever be in Quito again, but I'd definitely consider staying here again if I did. ~Jon"

"The property is beautiful with a wonderful view and the top roof is pretty but not much to do up there all the chairs were covered and for everything you have to ask for permission. "The apartment is nice, but be aware that the owner is quite inflexible. When we learned we were unable to have friends over in the apartment (building policy not mentioned to us at any point), we requested to leave. The owner was completely inflexible, and threated to charge us additional an amount if we continued to request an early checkout. If you're looking for a quick stay with a washer go ahead- but if you want more use of the apartment look elsewhere."

"The place was really as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The host also helped us arrange car service from and to UIO, they were on time and easy to meet. Check in and out is secure and easy as it's with a guard who is at the front desk at all hours. "

Hotel Rincon de Puembo, BW Signature Collection

"We stayed at Rincón de Puembo on our way to the Galápagos and again when we returned. I highly recommend this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the food is amazing (have the cold shrimp in a chilled soup), and the service is outstanding. We ate at both restaurants but El Grill with outdoor seating was my favorite. The rooms are nicely done. The woman that checked us in Monday Jan 21 around 7:30pm was so very helpful and she was there to help us again when we returned on the 29th. She made sure there was a van to pick us up in Quito, another to take us to airport the next morning for the islands, another when we returned from the Galápagos and once again when we left to go back to the airport in Quito. Everything went as planned. If I'm lucky enough to return, I will stay at Hotel Rincón de Puembo. "
