"This resort is incredible!! My husband and I travel around the world and rarely stay at the same place twice. This was our first time here, and we will definitely come back! The staff went above and beyond in every interaction to make our stay the most memorable, including keeping the kitchen open an extra hour one night to accommodate our schedule getting back to the resort. I’m a big foodie, and the food and drinks are excellent - super fresh ingredients and high-quality preparations. We went to a few restaurants around the island (which were the highest rated), and the meals at Matachica far outshined those. The property is beautiful and a pleasure to relax at. The individual casitas give a feeling of remoteness - while still having 5 star amenities. We were there during the windy/seaweed season, and the resort organized other activities to seaweed-free beaches, including a boat ride to Caye Caulker and a car ride to Secret Beach. What a wonderful addition and great way to explore other areas! (I would also highly recommend renting a golf cart to explore on your own.) I would highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Ambergris Caye!!"

"I will srart with the bad, on about day 4 of our stay we had a wierd leak from near the toilet that the crew immediately investited and fixed, but the floor remained wet from a very light leak from somewhere. Was so insignificant we didnt even report it the 2nd time. Everything else was perfect. There is a restaurant that is prettu much attacjed, right on the neach, walking distance to everything in San Pedro, and we never found it challenging to find parking for our golf cart. The airport is literally across the street, im talking 10-15 strps from the front door. However, even with that, very quiet very relaxxing and the staff will help you locate and arrange anything the Beautiful Country of Belize has to offer. Stay here, best quality for the cost, trust me... i compared and even after seeing the more expensive spots... we were not missing out. Plus you can go to any resort to eat at their restaurants or enjoy thier amenities for a fee; but we never needed to. Go and enjoy."

"This hotel was great for us. We stayed on the second floor in a standard room. AC worked great! Water pressure was amazing. Hotel was very quiet at night (end of march). There are two nice pools and a bar, where we ate a few times during our week long stay. I loved the belizean chicken and rice. The prices were reasonable. They offer beach towels and free coffee in the morning. The beach is great although we stayed during the beginning of sargassum season and although the staff was cleaning the beach every morning, the water was not swimmable (winds were not helping the situation). The spa was not open one time we tried to use it unfortunately. Overall we’d stay here again. "
