1980 Sherwood Drive Marine Terrace

2 Bedroom 2 Bath. 1 King, 1 Queen bed 1 Murphy bed upstairs. 2 TV's, DVD, wireless internet, electric BBQ on rear deck, gas log fireplace, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, single garage, hot tub. This two story home is very comfortable and has lots of light. It is right across the street from the ocean and only two streets from ocean access. Has very nice ocean views. You enter from the downstairs and both bedrooms and bathrooms are on this lower level. The upper level is all one large room, consisting of the kitchen, living room and dining area and the murphy bed. There is a deck off the upper floor and a deck/sitting area off of the master bedroom. This home is dog friendly. The hot tub is on the patio off of the master bedroom downstairs. This is in a wonderful location for walking around the neighborhood, and close to the Fiscalini Ranch walking trails.

It had comfortable beds, great view of the ocean, nice clean kitchen and open floor plan. It is located close to Fiscalini ranch where we enjoyed a nice walk admiring the ocean views. Definitely recommend this property for a nice get-away.

Several items needed maintenance
The upstairs sliding door had problems opening and closing. The Master bath pocket door had problems opening from inside the bathroom. One of the Blue High Patio Chairs seats was broken with a hanging screw. A ceiling lightbulb above the couch in the living room needs to be replaced. The location of the home is absolutely wonderful.

Great 2 Story House-Four Adults With Nice Ocean Views
In early to mid Sept., four adults (able to go up the staircase) truly enjoyed this small, clean, comfortable, well kept and well-appointed house in a quiet neighborhood. (This would be cramped for more than four.) The houses just across the street are ocean-side. We had a decent view of the sea and sunset from the upstairs family room. There's a washer/dryer on the main floor, also where the two bedrooms/bathrooms are. The garage is narrow, so passengers exited the mid-size SUV before it was driven in. It's a few easy-to-walk blocks from Fiscallini Ranch Reserve, a wonderful place to walk above the sea. It's easy driving distance to many fine places to hike at or near the ocean as well as to restaurants and shops. Moonstone Beach in Cambria is beautiful and great for beach-combing and tide-pooling. Don't miss the elephant seals in the area and sea otters in Moro Bay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I needed a time away, it had been too long since we had. the overall house just needs a little makeover. Having covers on the recliners are not pretty, as well as the couch needs new springs. The kitchen cupboards needs to be fixed, falling apart. Linens were wonderful, bed was very comfortable! Bathroom sinks stay closed, so they keep standing water, not good! Definitely a tough situation when the bathroom is downstairs and you're in the middle of cooking upstairs.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental is in the lovely Marine Terrace area of Cambria close to the ocean and within a 5 - 10 min walk to the Fiscalini Ranch Bluff Trailhead and less than a couple of mins to the small Lampton Park, making it an ideal spot (especially if you are bringing your pups!). House was comfortable enough and has all basic amenities, but feels old / dated and could benefit from a bit of a spruce up / some upgrades (especially bathrooms, kitchen and the sofas). We had a few ants come in after we left some cookies on the counter overnight - so be careful of that. The bedding wasn't great (I really wasn't a fan of the 100% nylon sheets). The enclosed front patio is almost entirely given over to a huge hot tub so not really a place to sit outside. In honesty - not a house that I wanted to spend a whole lot of time in (its got a very basic rental feel - lacks cozy touches), but it's a great spot if you are planning to spend most of your time out and about.

Wonderful Stay in our "Home Away From Home"

Everything was perfect, the views, the house, the rental agency. We definitely want to return to this house. The neighborhood is quiet, and the access to the ocean and the preserve couldn't be more convenient. We enjoyed watching the birds, the sunsets, and cooking most of our meals there. The house was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We slept in the master bedroom and the bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping in late. I would recommend this home to anyone who enjoys having outstanding views and walking to the ocean. Thanks so much to Jone and Heidi for being so accomodating.

We love the very short walk to lamp post Park and also it is in walking distance to the ranch trail. The beds are cozy, the deck has a nice view and the little gas fireplace is lovely. Most important of all is that it is dog friendly. Cambria vacation rentals always gives us an exceptional experience. They are very efficient and run their business with much integrity.
