De gordijnen zijn niet verduisterend wij hebben voor de kinderen altijd 2 ikea fleecedekens mee om de boel te verduisteren, dus voor ons was het geen probleem. We verbleven in appartement 2, het was qua temperatuur prima te doen, doordat het een oud gebouw...

"If you’re planning to visit Melk Abbey, be aware that Hotel Donauhof is not within walking distance—you’ll need to take a taxi, which costs about €16 each way. Alternatively, there's a bus that runs only once per hour. The hotel provides no in-room amenities—not even, tea or bottled water—and there is no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in the warmer months after June. There are no activity area around the hotel, with no restaurants nearby except the hotel’s own. During our stay, the elevator was out of order, and we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. If you're visiting Melk Abbey, I would recommend staying in Melk itself. You'll find similar or lower prices, access to a charming small town, and several dining options within walking distance. "

"Hotel was clean however was brand new, continental breakfast was a bit off a let down, didnt think there was much of an option, couldnt even get a bit of toast even thought toast machine were there but werent allowed to use.. Air-con also wasnt working and it being very warm outside it was uncomfortable to sleep in.. Didnt get any information from the hotel about aircon not working before arrival.. Also no staff about at nite if needed for any issues or emergencies.."

"I originally planned to stay for just one night, but I was so impressed by the exceptional service, prime location, and overall quality of the property that I extended my stay for two additional nights. The property is ideally situated away from the noise and pollution of the city, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment. Despite its tranquil setting, it’s conveniently accessible with taxis and buses readily available for transportation. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight of my stay. It featured an all-you-can-eat buffet with a wide variety of delicious options, ensuring there was something for everyone. The quality and presentation were truly outstanding. Additionally, the on-site amenities, including the pool and sauna, provided a luxurious and relaxing experience. Dinner was another standout feature. For just 21 euros per person, the all-you-can-eat buffet offered an unbelievable variety of dishes, all expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Each evening brought a new selection of culinary delights, showcasing the skill and professionalism of the kitchen staff. Overall, this property offers an unbeatable combination of comfort, convenience, and value. "Overall very good. Excellent location. Issue with Checkin which was at a hotel 100 feet or so uphill from this hôtel. Notice of this was done only at entrance to hotel. Breakfast also serves at the other hôtel. Both hotels have same Owner. "
