Bad service on my checkin, very bad organization. No towels on the bathroom, no hot water on the shower, i called reception 4 times for get tv and A/C control remote. The breakfast was included but take the people to another place because no restaurant,i n the hotel i was waiting almost 45 minutes for have breakfast.

The murals painted throughout the exterior are beautiful, but the lack of attention to detail really took away from the experience. Towels, linens, and dishes in the breakfast room were all worn out, and things were clean on the surface but not well kept. We had mold behind the sink in our room, and one of our mattresses collapsed into the bed frame, which was very dirty underneath (and we had to fix it, we called the front desk but nobody ever came to help). The pool was fairly clean, but there were weeds growing up through the pavement cracks and the lounge chairs were very worn out. Also the area around the pool had not been swept in quite awhile - debris on our first day was still there a week later. There was one empty hot tub that was totally exposed with no caution sign, probably at least 4 feet deep, a potential hazard for kids and adults alike since it was right next to a walkway. Staff were not especially friendly, and just did the bare minimum. Food was expensive for the quality, and the location of the hotel is not ideal either. Next time we visit Huatulco, we will select a different hotel.

Too far away from anything. Had to taxi.
Pool was gross and unclean except 2 days out of 10. We were unable to use it during day as the chemicals finally were put on to clean. Could have cleaned pool at night so would be available to use during daytime. Almost all Lounge chairs mostly broken. Cigarette butts everywhere. Only saw sweeping of pool and outside pool area once in entire stay. Very costly for Beverages and poor food selection. Coffee pot was only addition in room. No cups no coffee or tea offered to use. Had a room with king bed ordered but gave me double bedroom until I complained. No mini fridge. Housekeeping kept room very clean and bed was comfortable. Would not stay there again. Staff were friendly.

Huatulco good pkace to relax.
The trip was good the hotel I give a 3 stars because the balcony window was broke and the housekeeper did leave any hand towels. I am no picky but the hotel need better attention.

Great For the Price!
A group of us stayed here for 2 weeks and it was great! The staff could not be more helpful!! Overall the hotel is in decent enough shape - the rooms are very spacious and clean if maybe a little dated. The pool is huge and is definitely in need of some TLC but it didn't stop us from using it. We had a breakfast package and were a bit concerned about some of the reviews we had read regarding the food but we had no complaints at all. There was plenty to choose from and the omelette lady was willing to make you anything & everything! The breakfast staff could not do enough for you and were so friendly, they became the highlight of our mornings. The location of La Isla is great - if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk, you can walk to town, restaurants, the beach and the grocery store. And if you're not a walker it's a 30 peso cab ride to almost anywhere!. We would definitely stay here again especially with the amazing deal we got with Expedia. It may not be the fanciest hotel in Huatulco but it is definitely everything you need!

Great Hotel
The room was a pleasant surprise. For the low price we expected less. It was large, updated and very clean. The breakfast was good and excellent servers. A serious issue is the lounge. The food was expensive and very poor. The servers were polite and kind but needed training. The confusion to get the bill was crazy. One evening we wanted to have drinks and order pizza. They have the delivery pizza menu so we ordered from the pizza joint. When it arrived we weren't allowed to eat it in the lounge.

Breakfasts were great, Etello was informative and a pleasure to talk to. Evening buffet...you needed to get there early for a seat and hot food. Pool was great temp and very clean.

I liked the hotel's location. Which is not far from tourist spots. The hotel room was cleaned everyday. The service at their restaurant was excellent especially by one of their female worker servers.

The worst service I have ever experienced
The hotel main desk service and the management are extremely unprofessional and negligent. It took me three calls and two hours to have someone come to my room to place clean sheets in my room. When we checked in, the beds looked unmade and the sheets on my bed were stained and had hair all over them. I had arrived from an overnight flight and was exhausted but unable to sleep in the bed I paid for because of their disgusting sheets and horrible service. I decided to check out early and was still charged for the night I did not stay. I also did not receive my beach deposit of $100 pesos back. I have used my time and resources to call (long distance) and e-mail to resolve this issue and it has been a month. I am truly disappointed and angered with the lack of service and decency at this locale.

a little dissapointed
I thought this was a beach front property but that was my bad should have checked on the maps section!! I rented 4 rooms and two of the rooms the ac went off for a few hrs they do clean your room but do not replenish the items like shampoo and towels unless you ask if you want pool towels you need to leave a deposit and i saw one roach in my room I did let them know of the concerns but front desk didn't seem interested I will go back to Huatulco but not to this place again

Women run the other way!! Not safe!!!
Worst experience ever! The male staff made my sister and I feel uncomfortable. Asking for our numbers. Being persistent about joining them after work. We felt like we were being stalked and followed. All women...run the other way fast! I had to ask my husband to fly over the make me feel safe.

I completely enjoyed our time at La Isla Hotel! The greatest asset of this hotel is their employees!! They made us feel very welcome and comfortable! We were on a first name basis with several employees who gave us exceptional service!! Value your staff La Isla, they are what make your hotel extraordinary! Gerson, Alexis, Hiram, Francisco, Jaun, Noel, Deysi, Adrian, Oscar, Eleutenio, Letty, and Isario! Food at the beach club was amazing. Bartenders attentive! My only suggestion would be to fix up the bathrooms in the rooms. We had a cracked drain cover and water damage on our ceiling above the shower. Also, house keepers could use a vacuum in order to clean more thoroughly. Other then that, we have no complaints! Cozy atmosphere!

I'd recommend this hotel as service was not great; tv remote control didn't work, we have to ask three times for bottle water for towels, they don't have room service. I was misled as we wanted to stay in the hotel by the beach.
