"This small hotel is a treasure. The property is beautiful and staff super. Our room was really lovely and clean. We had a door to the lovely garden terrace which is prefect for a glass of wine. "Our stay here was amazing. The staff makes you feel like a 5 star guest, service was awesome. They sat down with us every evening to take our breakfast orders, refilled our individual water pitchers and left truffles every night, and kept the key while we went out (someone will answer the front door for you, reception is 24 hours). Room was spotless, and our balcony view on the fifth floor was phenomenal! Large, comfy bed, great shower, robes and slippers. Really cannot recommend enough."

"Alfonso couldn't have been more helpful upon our arrival. There are only 6 rooms, so it was very quiet. We had room 6 on the 4th floor. No elevator for us, but they did have a luggage elevator for which we were very grateful! Fantastic room with views over looking the Douro River and Gaia. Only problem was there was no parking available as stated on Expedia and street parking around the hotel has a 2 hour maximum. We parked on the street overnight and then moved to a garage in the morning...
