"This was a great property located at the halfway point of the island so easy to explore either side. Close to a lovely beach and easy sea bathing with lots of shops too. The roads are steep but then they are anywhere in Madeira. Certainly a good workout if you decide to go walking on the numerous paths."

"Lovely colourful rooms. A bit on the small size but you don’t spend a lot of time in them. Great that as a little kitchenette but if I recall correctly no kettle? Nice little swimming pool at the back. Also can use Pestana pools next door. The pool restaurant next door could improve on their snack offerings. Offer simple things like hot chick fries and snacks. "Love Madeira and the place is in a great location. Unfortunatley, after booking our non-refundable five-night stay we were charged an additional $140 for an "additional guest fee". Even though the Vrbo is listed for four guests, he charged us an addition $140 because we had three total guests and the base rate price is only for two guests. Good luck if you have any more than two guests because you will be charged almost double for your stay and will not be able to cancel after you booked it."

"Knowledge, helpful and friendly staff. As two female friends travelling together we felt safe and taken care by all the staff. A hot breakfast was included and it was amazing. When trying to plan a day of sight seeing the staff asked questions about needs and limitations so that we would have the best experience. Everything is in walking distance - cafes, shops, fine and casual dining. There's also a lovely little salon around the corner if you need a quick wash and blow dry or get your nails done. We highly recommend this lovely hotel if you are planning to visit Madeira."

"I had a lovely stay at The Vine. Right from check in the staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The rooftop bar has a lovely view at night time so is a great place to relax. The rooms are big with plenty of storage space. The location is great as many attractions in Funchal are a walkable distance. The airport bus also drops you off right outside the shopping center which contains the lifts to enter to hotel. The shopping center also has a supermarket in the basement which is handy for any essentials."
