"We checked in and immediately was appalled at the smell our room had. A combination of BO and whatever chemical/cleaning solution they used to try to mask it. The AC was not working properly and opening windows did not help (street view room). By 8pm on the check-in day we asked the person at the front desk to check out and for a refund. They called the manager and agreed to it, however we were told to cancel through orbitz as we booked through the third party. When we created a ticket to ask...

"Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little town. The property was charming and well equipped. I would suggest reviewing the bed itself, it was hard as a rock and we had back pain. Also consider adding two more pillows. Would be nice to have some basic body wash in the shower. Did provide hand soap. Other than that, well equipped kitchen, comfortable, excellent lighting and communication with us was excellent and timely. It was all in Portuguese so don’t know about English being spoken....

"The place was difficult to find but with some assistance from a local we were able to locate it. The hospitality was good and room clean but unfortunately there was no heating in the room, were very cold first night. Without asking the 2nd night an additional blanket was added but we were colder than the first night. The next morning we had breakfast, I tried locating the owner could not find her,so I left her note letting her know that we were seeking other arrangements and would not be staying...
