"The views and the breeze from the apartment were stellar. The apartment itself is a little funky but we had everything we needed. We LOVED the full-on views from the living room and bedrooms and the gardens all around . We very much appreciated the washer and dryer! Sadly, we couldn't sleep with the patio doors open for the fresh air because way down below is a highway with motorcycles racing in the middle of the night and my husband is sensitive to noise when sleeping. "Madeira itself is a beautiful island. This property has beautiful views and is minimalist in design with plenty of storage. We took Bolt up the hills from the old town. Very steep terrain everywhere. Beware of mold issues at this location. I am sensitive to black mold which is present at the house. I did report it to the property manager."

"I confess I was expecting an accommodation past its prime, because few recent reviews have posted on VRBO. We were in for a pleasant surprise. As Filomena explains, she purposely downplays the online description so that guests' expectations are exceeded!
