"I confess I was expecting an accommodation past its prime, because few recent reviews have posted on VRBO. We were in for a pleasant surprise. As Filomena explains, she purposely downplays the online description so that guests' expectations are exceeded! The house is spacious: two bedrooms, living/dining area, kitchen, bathroom, utility... and of course the balcony overlooking all of Funchal, a view even better than well-publicized miradouros. "Owner called after reservation that there's some pipe related problem in the house and offered an apartment in the middle of Funchal. From the pictures it looked good but when I got there I realized that the apartment was really dirty. Stains in the towels, sheets and in the toilet. I also found cochroachs inside the apartment during the second night. That's when I decided to leave. Owner gave most of my money back."
