"We had a good week. The apartment has everything you need for a self catering stay, sunny patio. comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen. There is a little convenience store next door and a full range of shops about 1 km up the hill. The nearest resturants seemed to be about 3 km away so not walking distance and the traffic was a little busy but then it is everywhere in Funchal. The owner was very friendly did everything he could to make us welcome even though he did not have much English."

"The apartment wasn't as described - it was better! The location was perfect - out of the city, but close enough to get there quick. A large balcony and view to die for, Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. It was the most well equipped place I had stayed in ever, complete with a clothesline and pegs to hang washing for longer stays.The apartment was huge and comfortably slept all 3 of my teenage children. I would definitley recommend."

"This wasn’t my favorite place to stay. The neighbor have a little yippee dog that barks all night. All windows are open at night because there isn’t air conditioning as stated. There also isn’t a working dryer or a spa tub. Just a bathtub. The beds are uncomfortable and some pillows would really help."

"Andrei's apartment is great for one person or a couple. It has an incredible view and the location is perfect. It was only a few-minute walk to the waterfront and from there you can go in either direction. Swimming, eating, and groceries, all were within walking distance. The apartment itself has the amenities necessary to make small meals and a fridge to keep things cold. I would stay there again without hesitation. "

"Loved this apartment! Amazing views from the balcony including the sunset, and the only noise is the sounds of the waves from the beach below. Apartment is kitted out with all the amenities you could want and gets extra points for the shower being high enough for my husband (it's rare!) and great water pressure. Marco gave us a great welcome and a lift to the supermarket which was really appreciated. Can't recommend enough!"

"The hotel is in a great location just on the edge of Funchal centre. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the ocean with beautiful views. Our only issue was that the bed was very firm, although this was cured when the hotel added a mattress topper to the beds after mentioning this fact to Expedia."

The staff was very attentive to our needs and provided to-go lunches to take on our excursions - simply need to order day before and pick up on our way out. They also offer bus service to and from Funchal (need to check bulletin for schedule). The front desk team took initiative with providing a very nice birthday cake and champagne-truly appreciated. Highly recommend and hope to be back again."

"I loved it! I had a sea view and as expected the sunset was amazing from any angle of the hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast served here. The front desk staff were very professional & helpful. The location it's conveniently (15-minutes away from Funchal) if you decide not to rent a car since public transportation is reliable in the area, literally there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.... Well recommended. "
