Cezanne is one of four luxury holiday apartments at Maison Pierre D’Or, a traditional stone house on the edge of the medieval centre of Sarlat in the stunning Perigord Noir region of Dordogne in South West France.

Cezanne is the perfect base from which to explore the town and the surrounding countryside. It’s ideal for couples, and is within an easy 5 minute stroll into the medieval centre with its lively markets, bistros, picturesque squares and historic buildings.

The apartment faces south and is consequently bright and sunny. It has an inviting balcony which is very popular with guests who frequently take breakfast or lunch or an aperitif in the sunshine whilst enjoying the open view over Sarlat.

Attention has been paid to the details. The apartment has been furnished with oak furniture. There are quirky lamps and paintings by local artists, and a host of other personal touches, giving Cezanne its own unique character. The apartment features a bright, airy living room with separate dining area and a well equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has an exceptionally comfortable king size bed with fresh, crisp, cotton bedlinen and soft pillows. The bathroom has a walk in shower with hot water on tap and big, fluffy towels.

Oh, and there is free parking on site, and free WiFi (free high-speed Internet).

Charming apartment in a great location
The locations and the hosts are 5 stars. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful and just delightful people. The location is great. You can walk into town for dinner and are conveniently located to get anywhere in the region. The apartment is charming, but small. It is on the second floor and was quite warm. We kept the curtains and shutters closed after 10:00 am due to the heat and none of windows have screens, so we kept them closed due to the mosquitos. What isn't in the pictures is the narrow spiral staircase up to the apartment. While it was okay for us, I think this needs to be mentioned as this would not be a good apartment for anyone with mobility issues.

The apartment was clean, convenient, well stocked and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. We did find it to be a little hot in apt and in all honesty it was unusually hot in France. However due to mosquitoes we kept all the windows closed. We were supplied a fan.

Cozy Sarlat home
This cozy unit is one of 3 in a sweet building just north of Sarlat. The hosts occupy one of the other units and were on hand to welcome us and give us useful information about the area. It is well-equipped, close to a good grocery store, walking distance to the town and an easy drive to the river and sites we wanted to explore. We found it a perfect location for exploring the Dordogne valley. Our only complaint was weak wifi.

Superb!
We loved our stay with Maggie and Ahm. They were such friendly and generous hosts who made us feel welcome from the first moment. Our apartment was well equipped and spacious with a charming patio where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. There is a lovely terrace surrounded by beautiful gardens. We were met on arrival by Maggie and Ahm. Lovely people. They immediately made us feel at home. Cute little apartment for 2 people within walking distance to the town of Sarlat. Lovely garden for relaxing. Close to groceries and also not too far to walk to the main downtown Sarlat with all their restaurants, banks, etc. Sarlat is also very close to visiting all the important sites. We felt very safe here. We can’t say enough about what wonderful hosts Maggie and Ahm were. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend them to our friends. Overlooking Sarlat
Great place to stay while visiting Sarlat and the Dordogne. Well equipped place up on the hill overlooking the town. It was very hot while we were there and air conditioning would have been nice but with the big fan we were fine. Owners are super nice. Would stay there again.

Lovely flat from which to explore the area.
Our hosts, Maggie and Ahm, were the high point and that's against the stiff competition of all the historical and beautiful areas of The Dordogne. Our only regrets are not enough energy and time! A fascinating area!!
