"Cet endroit est tout simplement magnifique. Un peu difficile à trouver car c'est vraiment au milieu de nulle part mais rendu sur place, c'est un vrai havre de paix. L'endroit est entretenu à la perfection. On peut profiter de la piscine, de la petite rivière et des sentiers situés autour. Le chalet qu'on avait était magnifique et très confortable avec l'air climatisé. Le 2e lit escamotable est aussi très confortable. "Very pleasant accommodation in a cute village. Check in was a bit fraught as it was self check in and the details were sent via WhatsApp and I had no service! A lady came over after about 20 minutes to let us in so no problem! "

"This place is way, way off the beaten path. It was extremely disappointing the location this time of year. My daughter and I choose not to stay after learning that there were no amenities close by. Many scenic routes twisting and turning through the mountains, with tiny village houses clinging to the mountainside. "If traveling by car, this is a splendid place to stay in the Duro Valley. Staff and room were very nice. A wonderful breakfast was included, which seems to be a vanishing practice in Europe these days. The hotel offers diner (not included) as well. The town of Tabuaco is quite small so dining options near by are limited. We would stay there again."

"Owners extremely accomodating and gracious,even cooking dinner for us! Breakfeast yet to come. Like a lovely private home stay for just 1 night. Location characteristic of grandparents time of life in the middle of a town surrounded by apple orchards and grape vinyards. 5 stars!"

"The staff at this property were outstanding. It was raining when we were there, but in good weather, the outside patios would have been lovely. It's a bit of a walk into town, but we were a group of four seniors and we managed fine. We took a cab back up to the property. After a long day of travelling, we loved the quietness that this property provided."

"This is my second time staying at the property and it was the same magical experience. This time around I just wanted to relax and enjoy the property. And that I did! I spent my days enjoying the trails, in enjoying the multiple fireplaces on the property. And of course the dinner. The food wine and port made for an unforgettable stay. "

"This was my 3rd time staying at QdLR, yet I think this is my first review of the property(?). This is a solid gem in Pinhão. Although about 0.5 km from the town, the location means it is quiet. Wonderful, spacious room, excellent restaurant, and scrumptious breakfast, not to mention great wines and ports from the on-site winery. I had the trip from hell to get here and arrived late. They made certain I had dinner available and had a bottle of wine waiting in my room. They took great care of this weary traveler, which just enamored me even more with the place. Although my stay was barely over 14 hours, I will be back!"

"For us, this was a great choice. A quiet location and we had a view of the river from our room and also from the common area patios. The hotel clerk gave us excellent advice to take the scenic train from the station across the street which was a wonderful experience. He also showed us a scenic drive through the wine country with a detour to a lookout point which was breathtaking. However this is a very isolated location with one restaurant next door and one across the street. We did have a great meal at the next door restaurant. But if you are looking for lots of dining options this is not the place to stay. The room itself was a bit small and not recently updated. But it was very quiet and we had the window open all night with a nice breeze off the river. Breakfast was a full buffet with lots of options. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. Angela was so helpful in getting us checked in and recommending things to do. We would recommend this to anyone heading to the Duoro Valley!"
