Despite the language barrier Ginette was great and spoke better English than we did French. However, the issues were with the room itself. When we entered the room it actually looked great with the bedroom being separate and up one flight of stairs but there was a damp musty smell that we thought may have just been from being closed. "Basic hotel but very affordable for our budget. There is a McDonald's across the street and easy access to the freeway. Breakfast is 12 Euros which is not cheap for what you get. U need a car for this hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Its a good base to explore Normandy without staying at an expensive hotel closer to the D Day Beaches. There is a Lidl a short distance away. I would stay here again if I have a vehicle. "
