"Cute apartment. Came with small children so it isn’t really soundproof well for the neighbours below. Also, our apartment was at the top. Be prepare to carry your luggages up. Other than that, easy access around, communication with host is easy and neighborhood was pretty quiet when we were there."

"A warm cosy home with good utilities. Three double bedrooms, comfy clean beds. X3 bathrooms complete with complimentary shower gel and shampoo but the shower cubicles need some attention and a thorough clean. "A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again! "

"scenery was amazing, property was spotless and very safe. i had my extremely old dog there (he is deaf and blind) and seeing him be able to roam around safely was amazing, it was probably his last ever trip and it was definitely the right choice. gorgeous fire pit, playgrounds etc, owner left leaflets with info on places to go eat, visit etc and helped with any other questions i had, extremely friendly. we will be back"

"We had a fabulous stay at Ashside Cottage. We were welcomed by Richard and Caroline who gave us a tour of the house and filled us in on places of interest in and around the area. The cottage was beautiful with parts dating from 16th century. It had everything we needed, including home baked bread. Gateway to the mourne mountains

"Myself and my partner only stayed for one night. The cabin was very clean and cosy with everything we needed for our short break. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, things that not all places we have stayed get right. We used it as a stop off on our trip to photograph the mountains and surrounding areas, this was the perfect stop off for what we wanted. Thank you for the stay, it made our break, we will definitely be booking again."

Perfect location for a break in the Mournes.

"We had a lovely stay at this beautiful place. We booked a night away as we have recently got married, and my husband is recovering from a serious illness. We just needed some "downtime" as we also have a daughter with disabilities, and this was the perfect spot. We have actually booked the superior room for a night next month,as I have felt so refreshed today. The continental breakfast was lovely. My husband is more of a cooked breakfast fan,but I was delighted to find several gluten free options, including bread, porridge and cereal, and also dairy alternatives. I think this is the first place we have stayed that has actually provided gluten and lactose free options. The only drawback was a bit of noise from another guest's 2 large dogs through the night. I love that the Briers is pet friendly, and have recommended it to both my son and daughter who are always looking for pet friendly places to stay. The noise didn't bother me as we have dogs ourselves,but my husband is a bit noise sensitive due to illness. Not a fault of the Briers at all, just very excited dogs on holiday. We are looking forward to going back often. We had beautiful views of the stunning Mourne mountains from our room as an added bonus."
