Welcome to Mystic Mountain Hideaway! Two miles from downtown Helen but so secluded you will feel like you are on an Alpine vacation but with modern amenities such as high speed WiFi, HD TV, four person hot tub with mountain views! **TWO BEDROOM CABIN with NO visible neighbors this is a true mountain retreat! Rooftop skylights bring in the sunshine during the day and stars at night!

We have recently upgraded to HD Satellite television and free WIFI so you can enjoy modern comforts if you so desire!

As you turn into this mountain trail toward this inviting log cabin all of the sights and sounds of the city disappear. You will hear a trickle of water, and everything you see & smell is dense, lush, and green.

Experience the outdoors, and experience the indoors in your own secluded universe. You won't see any people or cars at this cabin, but you will see nature at it's most pure while you rest and renew yourself. There is lots of fun to be had at this cabin.

The property is secluded, but only minutes from downtown Helen, Betty's Country Grocery, Hiking Trails, Tubing, Zip Lining, Shopping, and the Chattahoochee River

Your view will include 20 acres of nature including our deer and wild turkey that are content to share their home with you.

Place was amazing and very private and unique. Bed is super comfortable and view was incredible. Very close to town. Thankful for the reviews that said to bring four wheel drive, it was raining, so the ride in was slippery. Will definitely be back!!

Very private..very secluded..very quiet! This is as close as you can get to being off the grid.Has all the amenities you could need. Great place for a weekend hideaway.Very short drive to all the local attractions. This place was everything we wanted it to be. Cant wait for our next trip there.

We loved the cabin and the location just outside Helen. It's rustic and clean, exactly as a cabin retreat should be. They had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend- the hot tub was a nice touch! Thanks for the stay- recommend!

Way better than a hurricane!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Mystic Mountain Hideaway! We needed a place to evacuate from Hurricane Milton and were so happy we came here. Not only was it a 5 minute drive to downtown Helen, but my kids also enjoyed the nearby obstacle course at Cool River. We were able to relax around the fire and in the hot tub and slept well in comfy beds. Loved the charming decor throughout and had everything we needed for a 3-day stay. Great place for families with pets, would love to come back in summer or winter!

Beautiful cabin! We absolutely LOVED our stay. The property was so peaceful and secluded, yet only minutes to town. Our lab loved splashing in the river just down the driveway and across the street. Communication with the owner was fantastic. This trip was just what we were needing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The deck was everything and more; the hot tub at night with the lights around the railing make it very romantic. The location gives the feeling of complete privacy which to me is priceless. Tom is excellent and communicative, and this is my first experience using VRBO and he made it smooth and streamline. Loved the mystic mountain..will be back

Cabin description misleading
Wife and I went for anniversary. As soon as we got there it was so disappointing. This cabin has not been taken care of, very dirty, everything outside had mildew on it, inside had dead bugs in the corners, all the cooking and eating utensils were dirty and greasy, bed spread had stains on it, mold in AC unit, dust on everything, skylights had mildew on them and couldn’t even see out them. Ancient stove and fridge. We left the next morning. Host says he is fine with how it looks. This review is not allowing to upload pictures to show the condition of this cabin. If you don’t have four wheel drive you are not getting to it so that was missing from description too, luckily I did. But a very big let down as we had to drive back home 7 1/2 hours. I do not recommend this cabin, maybe find one with video walk thru that is time stamped as we have done with other cabins, as the picture on this one does not match the condition of this cabin.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! Host was responsive and attentive, and the house was clean and comfy! Hot tub was great on our muscles after our long tubing trip on the river! We loved the area and all the fun things to do and great food!

It is a beautiful cabin, had a great time. The only couple things I could say is the cleaning crew needs to pay a little more attention cause there was rat poop in the bottom of a couple cabinets. Moisture control could help to, my clothes went home smelling like mildew. Overall though it is a nice cabin great location.

Rude owner and dusty cabin
The wifi didn’t work, the toilet wouldn’t half way flush, everything had a thick layer of dust on it, looked like mold on the bathroom floor around the shower, extremely dated appliances.

Nice secluded cabin near waterfalls, parks and shopping/dining.
Was a nice place to stay. Would recommend a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive SUV to drive up the roads to the paved driveway. The wooden stairs in the cabin are a bit slippery. Could use some sort of grip tape for them.

Great experience!
The cabin was awesome and has everything needed for comfortability. The property the cabin sits on is gorgeous and riddled with walking trails to explore. The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The location of the cabin is within minutes of downtown Helen which was a huge plus. Overall we had a really wonderful time and would absolutely book here again in the future! 10 out 10 recommend!

Good: location, close to Helen, but felt secluded. The hot tub worked. Furniture was in decent shape and seating was cozy, as was the fireplace. Bad:A pet fee was not listed in the details page, nor the PDF file of house rules, nor the final pricing page. Only after my payment was processed, was I contacted by the owner for additional payments. I was offered a refund, but had little time to receive the funds back into my account and select another booking. Firewood is not provided, but was necessary for heating the otherwise chilly cabin.(Consider this additional cost) The main heating system was not functioning. Small, electric heaters were throughout the house. Half worked. The kitchen was disgusting. There was gummy food matter left on the cutting boards. Pasta water starch was layered on the only collander in the house. Cabinets were rotted, then loosely covered with peeling, old contact paper. Dead bugs, or droppings were present in the cabinets. Guests must wash their own dishes, and no one is checking that this is done properly. Also, there is 0 counter space to actually wash dishes. Counters are filled with unnecessary, dusty knick knacks that no one moves to clean behind. Way too much unnecessary decor that just collects dust and has no purpose. Outdoor furniture was covered in pollen and hadn't been cleaned all season. We found a half of a pill on the lamp base in the bedroom, with pill residue. (Very concerning!) I could go on, but I'm out of space to continue....

I love when a cabin gives you that "cabin feel" - this property gives you just that. You are secluded atop a hill, surrounded by woods. You walk in and are greeted with that rustic feel you hope for in a cabin-stay: the structures are wooden, the decor is cozy and warm. My husband and I slept in the upstairs loft, our one year old slept in the downstairs bedroom in his pack-n-play (this room gets nice and dark at night, which is excellent for parents whose children sleep better in the dark!), and our two dogs slept on the floor in the living room. Anytime our son was asleep, be it naps or down for the night, my husband and I were in that hot tub! Relaxing during the day and even more so at night when you turn on the twinkle lights, put the jets on high, and can look up at the stars and not hear anything but the sounds of nature and the hot tub bubbles! This cabin is mere minutes away from downtown Helen. In the past we stayed nearby in the town of Cleveland and would only venture to Helen maybe twice a day, because it would be about a 20 minute drive from our rental. This trip, however, we went back and forth from town to the cabin so many times because of their proximity. Their closeness was convenient for meals, baby's naptime, groceries, things to do, and if you forget something it's a few minutes drive. Communication was excellent: the hosts responded SO quickly and answered any questions/concerns. They clearly have their guests in mind when renting their cabin out.

Amazing Cabin! Just perfect!
The cabin was the most warmest friendly cabin we have stayed at! The view and homiest feeling! Having a fire every morning and at night was super cool coming from florida! Bonfire when you wanted and a dip In a nice jacuzzi! We could have not been happier! Everything you need is there! Hope to stay and will again! Lilly the beagle loved it!
