The Best Place to Stay in North Yorkshires

Orchard Lodge is a great find

This is a real find!! The Hotel, the hosts, the food and the service are all superb!! Andrew and Lucinda went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful break. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very well kitted out with everything we needed. The breakfasts and the young lady who served us on one of the days were brilliant

A brilliant stay, made even better by wonderfully attentive hosts Andrew & Lucinda. We visited with our dog and they catered perfectly for us. Beautiful breakfast and we would absolutely recommend staying here.

My wife and I were visiting Yorkshire and chose Orchard Lodge based on the reviews - we were not disappointed. The room was clean, the staff were incredibly helpful and the whole place had an ambience of calm and trnquility. We opted to have an evening meal and were seriously flabbergasted when the incredible food arrived - way above our expectations for such a smal 'B&B'. We were not surprised to learn that the chef had trained in a Michelin star restaurant. In summary, a lovely stay with amazing food - we have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this delightful haven.

What a wonderfully relaxing stay both me and my grand-daughter had. Andrew and Lucinda were amazing hosts, evening joining us for tea a scones which was very kindly provided at check in. Unfortunately, there was a power cut the morning of our departure, however, despite this the cooked breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and hassle free break on the East Coast. Thank you Andrew and Lucinda. Liz

Orchard Lodge is a fantastic little gem. I couldn't recommend it more strongly. The location is perfect for exploring the area. The accommodation is excellent and the welcome perfect. The quality of the food in the Wolds Restaurant was exceptional and you would have to travel a long way to beat it. There is a real focus on local supply with everything being sourced within a small area where possible. This went as far as the bar as well. We had a fantastic Yorkshire wine and I highly recommend the Filey Gin. All in all a fantastic three days.

Beyond perfect!

Gorgeous hotel in beautiful Yorkshire. Our 3 day stay was wonderful. Large comfy rooms with huge bed. Modern bathroom with walk in shower. Garden was perfect to sit in, with a cosy summerhouse. Breakfast was stunning - local produce, even down to the apple juice produced from their own orchard. Honey and jams all very local too, as were the ingredients of the cooked breakfasts. Bar stocks local beers and spirits. Andrew and Lucinda are perfect hosts.

Absolutely Superb!

Andrew & Lucinda (and their 8 week old Lab) were extremely friendly & hospitable hosts to both of us. By both, I mean my well behaved pet Lab Florence who felt at home with an early morning breakfast of sausage. I am sure she loved being spoilt as I was during my stay. I could not fault anything except praise for my hosts who went out of their way to make our one night stay as comfortable as possible. Good size and clean & rooms with plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water followed by a full English breakfast in the morning with some homemade jams etc. For well behaved pets & their owners it's a place to relax and enjoy the lovely countryside. I will certainly visit again and would recommend Orchard Lodge to all including pet owners.

Ideal Country Idyll

My wife and I had a very enjoyable 2 night stay here. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Andrew and Lucinda with the offer of tea and scones in the garden which gave us the chance for an nice chat. Our room was very spacious with a super-kingsize bed. The selection at Breakfast was amazing with loads of home-made produce, all served by 2 young attentive polite girls. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

Everything just Perfect, an absolute gem & a credit to Andrew and Lucindas hard work. This was our first visit and wont be our last. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Spotlessly clean with tasteful furnishing and decor throughout, excellent customer service, very friendly and curteous staff who couldnt do enough for you. Breakfast and snacks excellent. Very quiet location. Everything 100% and will be our first choice when we return to the area.

Very nice Lodge. Owners were lovely and accomodating, getting to know their guests personally is a very nice touch. Room is clean and serves its purpose. Would definitely stop again.
