"Great location in a historical building. Walkable to grocery and the lake/river tourist area. The building common area is a bit dated but look interesting if you like historical building. The apartment is spacious and modern. Big fully equipped kitchen, full size fridge. Nice Tereace. The bedroom with a bathroom are on the ground floor. there is an AC in the bedroom but not cool enough, only works like a fan. The AC upstairs is better but not enough to cover the living/dining/extra bed area....

"The apartment was in a wonderful location and was well equipped. The staff was freindly and helpful. It was quite warm while we were there, so air conditioning would have been nice. Overall I would highly recommend this property."

"This apartment is absolutely lovely. Neighborhood is quiet and just a quick drive to downtown Lucerne. It's also truly walkable (if you can do uphill!! 😅) and there is public transport. VRBO didn’t send me the correct check in details but the host responded to my message with everything I needed to know very quickly. If I ever find myself in this area again I'd book this place in a heartbeat."

"There seemed to be some confusion over our room we tried to rectify it straight away especially as there was no light in the bathroom, but no one was at reception desk. So was sorted next day. The room was changed and was more like what we had booked, it was clean but basic. Im not sure I’d go back there again. On Expedia it said you could get food at an additional fee. No such service. If I’m honest I was disappointed with it. "

"Lumen apartments are great. Very nice parking, bed, shower, kitchen. The only complaint was a drainage smell that was coming out of the kitchen sink. We couldn’t figure it out while we were there but I need to mention that management responded really quick to all my emails or phone calls and offered to send someone to check the smell but we were out all day and only come to the apartment to sleep so we were able to tolerate the smell for a little bit. "

"The location was good. Key holders are friendly people and helpful. It’s a school campus so students are the main residence. The apartment itself was clean but there were no other necessities supplied aside from toilet paper. "

"Auf den Bildern sah die Unterkunft ok aus. Entweder waren die Bilder alt oder es war gut fotografiert. Dort angekommen war ich erstmal geschockt... Die Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig. Zudem sehr abgewohnt und teilweise kaputt. Gegen alt habe ich nichts aber ganz sollte es schon sein. Schmutzige Töpfe, dreckige Schränke, in der Waschmaschine wollte ich auch nichts waschen... Die Umgebung war jetzt auch nicht das optimale. Wir haben das Beste draus gemacht aber werden sicher nicht wieder...

"The place was in a very convenient location. It took about 10 minutes to walk from the train station and close to restaurants and shopping. It was clean and spacious compared to a hotel room. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Wir haben mit 2 Erwachsenen und einem Kind, 8 Jahre, eine Woche hier verbracht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, die Wohnung ist groß und mit allem eingerichtet, was man benötigt. Ganz besonders toll war, dass unser Sohn auch beim Füttern der Kühe mithelfen durfe und auf dem Traktor mitgenommen wurde. Auch der Hofhund Nello war ein toller Freund zum Spielen. "Great kitchen with everything you need. Coop Supermarket was conveniently located next door. Had a river view, but was next to the train track and busy road. The surrounding area was up-and-coming, and not as clean as other areas in Luzern. Easy and quick to get to the city center. The bus stop was right in front of the apartment. "

Basel, Zürich und der Rheinfall sind alle mit Tagesausflügen leicht zu erreichen und wandern kann man auch gehen. Auch ist der Ort mit Zug zu erreichen - da sollte man so 20 Gehminuten einplanen."

"The hotel provided great service, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was good. We were out all day but would probably have liked to have a lounge to sit in altogether in the hotel in the evening. The restaurant connected to the reception was closed. It was a good area linked by a short walk to the centre and the old town with a main bus route to the station and also to the Pilatus cable car at Kriens less than 5 minutes walk from the front door. Staff were great."

"Don’t bother looking to stay anywhere else than the Hotel Central when visiting Luzern; it’s conveniently situated a short walk from both the station and Old Town. The staff were all delightful and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The generous and delicious breakfasts were a great start to the day and it was great to be able to enjoy complimentary (good) coffee at any time. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and very clean - all in all our visit to Luzern was made all the better for staying at Hotel Central. "

"This was a great place to stay. So affordable and in a great location. The bed was comfortable and the room had just what you needed. (There was even access to an ice machine for crazy ice-obsessed Americans.) Even though it was in a busy spot of town, it was totally quiet in the room. I was able to store my luggage on arrival and after checking out until my train that evening, so I saved about 20 CHF in locker fees. I would totally stay here again."
