The Leemhuis, a wonderful home in a fantastic location on the highest dune

The Leemhuis stands in a beautiful, private, sunny garden, right on the edge of the dunes. It is comfortable, attractive and luxuriously furnished with a large living room, complete kitchen and a spacious bedroom with a beautiful Indonesian four-poster bed. In the bathroom there is a toilet, sink and shower. In front of the house is a spacious, sunny terrace surrounded by greenery and next to the house is a lawn.

The Leemhuis is a detached house. The cozy holiday village of Schoorl is within walking distance. Here you will find many terraces and restaurants. Schoorl is also great for daily shopping.

From Het Leemhuis you walk into the Schoorl dune area: forest, dune and heathland, through which numerous hiking trails run. Do you prefer to cycle? Paved cycle paths have been laid out throughout the dune area. For the sporty mountain bikers, there is the spectacular mountain bike route of 15 km long! A beautiful bike ride will take you to the beach at Schoorl. You can also easily reach the beach by car. The beaches of Hargen or Camperduin are close by.

The bus stops just 2 minutes from Het Leemhuis. This will take you to the center of the historic city of Alkmaar in 20 minutes. Wandering along the monuments, canals, shops, museums and terraces you will be surprised at the beauty of the old center.
Alkmaar is known as the Cheese Town: the world famous cheese market has been held on Friday mornings from April to September for centuries. A true North Holland tradition that brings a lot of excitement and cosiness. Every Friday morning from early April to early September there is the cheese market. ten to half past twelve the cheese carriers on the Waagplein get to work. Visitors from all over the world come to see the spectacle. The colorful hats of the cheese wearers, the hand of the cheese traders and the lively market around it make a visit to the Alkmaar cheese market a perfect day out. The cozy Bergen is within cycling distance, about 30 minutes. Here you can shop to your heart's content, relax on one of the many terraces and have a great lunch or dinner.

Toplage, absolut ruhig gelegen
Sehr nette Gastgeber, halfen uns mit Tipps und bei der Fahrradreparatur ;-). Das Haus selber liegt total ruhig, mit Fahrrädern kann mal viel unternehmen. Besonders empfehlenswert sind ein Besuch in Schagen zum Folkloreumzug (immer am Donnerstag von Juli bis Anfang September) und ein Ausflug nach Alkmaar. Freitags ist dort Käsemarkt, aber auch sonst sehr schön!

De zee, de duinen, wandelen en fietsen
Het LEEMHUIS is een prima uitvalbasis om de duinen in te trekken. Heerlijk op de fiets of lekker wandelend. Het ruime huisje zelf is lekker relaxed met een mooi ruime slaapkamer. Jan en Sita het gastechtpaar zijn super vriendelijk en staan voor je klaar als er vragen zijn of als je gewoon iets wil weten. Heerlijk genoten dus. 👍

Gemütlich und stilvoll direkt an den Dünen
Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Es ist alles da was man braucht und das Kochen in der Küche macht richtig Spaß. Die Dekoration und die Pflanzen sind schön zusammen gestellt. Das Schlafzimmer ist auch hübsch eingerichtet. Die Terasse ist schön privat und im Vorbau kann man seine Räder sicher abschließen. Die Gegend ist einfach wunderschön inspirierend. Danke für alles!

Der Urlaub im Leemhuis war perfekt! Die Vermieter haben das Haus und den Garten mit so viel Liebe her- und eingerichtet, dass man sich zu Hause fühlt. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war äußerst angenehm und sehr herzlich- vielen lieben Dank Sita & Jan !

Schoorl und Umgebung ist sehr schön, die Dünenlandschaft und der herrliche Strand sind wunderbar. Haben nur unsere Fahrräder im Urlaub genutzt und die Region erkundet. Es gibt viele schöne Einkehrmöglichkeiten und auf Gastfreundschaft wurde viel Wert gelegt. Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Vermieter waren sehr liebenswert, ein ganz großes Dankeschön nochmals. Der Wohlfühlfaktor war groß, eine Oase der Ruhe . Wir würden die Region wieder besuchen und uns auch wieder in der gleichen Unterkunft einquartieren .

Ein wunderschönes Haus zum Erholen
Nachdem wir vor 2 Jahren schon da waren, haben wir damals schon gesagt, wenn Nordholland - dann nur das Leemhuis in Schoorl! Das kl. Haus ist mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht, das Wohnzimmer ist großzügig, das Schlafzimmer sehr schön und das Bett sehr gemütlich! Wir haben fantastisch geschlafen! Sita und Jan sind sehr freundliche, nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Die Fahrräder kann man bequem unterstellen u. man kann vom Leemhuis aus sehr viel unternehmen! Danke für die schöne Urlaubswoche, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Perfekter Urlaub in Schoorl
Wir haben uns im Leemhuis richtig wohl gefühlt. Unsere netten Gastgeber haben das Ferienaus mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Frische Blumen und eine Flasche Wein gaben uns das Gefühl erwartet zu sein. Darüber hinaus ist Schoorl für den Aktivurlauber ideal. Es gibt viele Ausflugsziele, die man mit dem Fahrrad erreichen kann.

Leider hinter den geweckten Erwartungen
Wenig Lehm am Leemhuis dafür viel Holzschutzmittel. Die Wohnung war etwas muffig und nur über muffige Abstellräume des Vermieters zu betreten und mit einem Zimmerschlüssel zu verschließen. Die Benutzung der Sauna kostet extra.
