"5tägiger Herbsturlaub hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das alte Fischerhäuschen ist klein aber fein renoviert und modern eingerichtet. Es hat alles was ein Kurzurlaub braucht. Vorsicht, die Treppe zu den Schlafräumen ist sehr steil aber oben mit einem Kindersicherheitstor gesichert. Die Betten sind bequem aber als große Person muss man sich unter den Dachschrägen einfädeln, was jedoch zum Charme des Hauses gehört. Bei schönem Wetter kann man draußen im Garten sitzen. Geht man vor die Tür steht man...

"It was the perfect place for our family of five to explore the Groningen area and our family's ancestry. The house was spacious, clean, quiet, and located right on a canal. We rented the boat and took it out on the lake one day. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed grilling and eating outside on one of the many decks surrounded by flowering bushes and plants. We wish we had more time to spend at the house and in the Kropswolde/Groningen area but hope to come back someday!"

"May not suit everyone, but if you want a very quiet, relaxed time, this is perfect. The cabin was superb, with everything you need. No TV, and that was fine. The owners were lovely, Stan and Ienke were gentle souls who were always on hand. The satnav. did not take us directly to the camp, but it was easy to find. Beautiful cycling area. Would definitely go there again. This is a place of quiet and peace, a place to unwind. It has a wildness about it that is endearing."

"The location was not great for walkers/pedestrians coming from the train station or airport to the Big Market SQ. or the Fish market sq. (Central Business Dist.) Also, there was alot of messy construction outside the front entrance, by the highway/freeway. Great hotel though, especially if you drive or are in GRN for a conference/event at the Martini Arena."

Definitely a good choice in Groningen

"Excellent choice and interesting concept just over canal from centrum. Well thought out. Excellentb breakfast buffet the day we ate in. Originally geared for students but now has guests of all ages. Nothing student or hostel about the faccilities or staff. Good wifi. Good mattresses. AC, which is only helpful in a brief timeframe this far north but we appreciated having it that stay. The rooms have excellent sound proofing."
