"The hotel was great but the parking was supposed to be free. We paid 7.50 euros for one night. Apparently free parking is to the side of the hotel but we were not told this on arrival and parked in the area marked as the hotel car park. On checking out we were advised we had to pay. Our booking included free parking so we were upset by this. We should have been advised on check in which bays were free and which were not. All parking is outside so not easy to work out. "

"Sonntag Abend war zur Ankunft nur der Hintereingang geöffnet, war nicht schlimm, musste man nur finden… der Teppich im Fahrstuhl war schon sehr dreckig, einfach mal mit dem Sauger drüber hätte bestimmt schon sehr viel gebracht. Der“Nachtportier“, super freundlich und zuvorkommend… das Zimmer riesig (für eine Person) mit der für mich recht üblichen Ausstattung. "Der Bungalow im Garten der Gärtnerei ist super gelegen. Herrlich ruhig und entspannend. Perfekt ist natürlich auch die Lage unmittelbar am Schloss. Der Gastgeber hat uns persönlich empfangen und sehr herzlich willkommen geheissen. Er hatte auch einige Ausflug Tipps für uns zur Hand. Ein rundum gelungener Kurztrip in eine schöne Ecke Deutschlands."

"Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub mit unseren zwei Hunden bei der Familie Moser verbracht. Herr und Frau Moser waren immer freundlich und hilfsbereit- es wartete sogar eine Flasche Sekt auf uns! Das Häuschen ist sauber, komfortabel und hat alles was man braucht. Der große komplett eingezäunte Garten mit schöner Terrasse war optimal für uns und unsere Collies. Kommen gerne wieder!"

Don’t be put off by the picture
"We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness. We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom. The bar also helped things along. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest. "
