"Very private location detached from the main house and sits above a garage like a tree house with big windows into the upper level of trees. Very new build and feels new, only ~2 years old but feels like it was just finished yesterday. Very clean and everything worked perfectly. Hosts were clear, prompt, and welcoming--especially with all the accommodations usually a trademark of a high end hotel. We went to the botanical gardens one day, and did the trail of 10 falls the next. Only planned one...

"What an adorable home and charming neighborhood. We stayed with another couple to attend a weddings at Zenith Vineyard and this place was perfect! Love the off street parking and proximity to anything you might need. I would highly recommend Salem stays and this lovely garden home."

"This two bedroom house felt roomy and truly had everything inside you could possibly need. It was clean and cozy, and we knew the owners were close by should we need anything, but we did not. It is located on a VERY busy and often times noisy street, which meant it was difficult to get in and out of the driveway at various times throughout our stay. "Overall, this cottage was a pleasant place to stay for a few days. We were there during cold and wet weather, so we weren't able to use any of the outside areas, but the back yard seemed peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was clean and stocked with necessities. The interior is heated by a split system and we did struggle to find a comfortable temperature throughout, but there was a space heater for the bedroom, too. The sleeper sofa is a twin trundle. "Suited us well: one married couple and one friend, so we took the larger master with bathroom while our friend took the smaller room with a bathroom across the hall. Open plan with large kitchen, dining room, and living room area. Great lighting with ample overheads and skylights. Stayton is a quiet little town, nothing fancy but perfect location to visit Silver Falls, Oregon Gardens, Silverton, Salem, wineries, etc. We discovered a bonus river walk along the Santiam River as well!"

Quiet room?

"The room had a very odd arrangement with a VERY wide door into the toilet/shower area. The door was right where the most traffic for the room was, so it was rather 'in the way'. (we were in room 411). I had asked for a quiet room, and although the room was rather far down the hall, away from the elevator traffic (which was good), the window also faced the busy street, so there was quite a bit of noise from the street... maybe the young clerk didn't take that into consideration when selecting a 'quiet room'.... But since it was just for an overnight, it wasn't a big deal. Luckily the hum from the heater/A/C was enough to drown out any of the street noise...."
