My stay was very good , the staff were really friendly and made me feel at home I'm not one to complain but the beds could have been a little bit bigger but that's just my preference like a queen or king bed as a double bed between two you can barely move but other than that everything was spot on

Nothing like photos. Sat on the bed and then headboard fell off. Bathroom has damp and mould. Whole room was disgusting so did not stay. Quick enough in taking the money on arrival but won’t see it back for at least 10 days!

Humble for an industrial town
I enjoyed visiting my home town. This is my second stay at The Royal hotel. I remember looking at the hotel as a teenager because the rock bands that visited the town would stay there lol. It's a humble place. It's Scunthorpe

We arrived after a 3 hour car drive only to wait 20 minutes for someone to check us in !! Room very tired with bulbs missing and poor decor and mould on the bathroom ceiling. Rusty light fittings and badly worn headboard on the beds.
