"Lovely property, larger than it looks online. All equipment you could need for a week, with easy check in to gets keys. Very clean and tidy and in a great location Short walk from bus and traim station. Also a couple of restaurants, chemist, Netto, Aldi. About 15-20 min walk to centre or short bus ride. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Ill definitely be staying again"

Wer es nicht hören mag, wie die Kirchturmuhr jede Viertelstunde läutet (auch nachts), muss/kann bei geschlossenen Fenstern (gut) schlafen. "The checkin was really unprofessional, nothing was prepared, all data had to be filled out again on paper, the staff was absolutely not welcoming. They did not even inform me about a 25 EUR early checkin fee upfront. They gave me a room right above the smoking area. It smelled and was noisy. At the checkout they claimed I had breakfast. Never did and never ordered it. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not what I expected at this house. Poor!"

"The spa, gym, and lake views are excellent. The hotel has a very 90's feel and no room service (this was a bummer as we had a lake view room and wanted to stay in and relax). The beirgarten by the water has excellent food, although it closes at 930pm (as does the only restaurant on site (a buffet). The place was comfortable for 1 dayx the lake location and sauna were exactly what we wanted"

Don’t be put off by the picture

"We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness. We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom. The bar also helped things along. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest. "
