They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine. "The views from this property are absolutely breathtaking! While the property is not near any major sights, it is peaceful and beautiful. Fernanda was very responsive to my questions and her husband assisted us in guiding us around the area to point out places to eat and shop with. The pool was enjoyed by the family and we also also had a fabulous dinner grilling outside on the property. The pictures shown on this sight are accurate."

"This is a very old, but quaint property. The room was large and the en suite bathroom was also large. We arrived just after a snow storm. The village and surrounding area was beautiful. The house was almost as warm as te welcome and friendliness of Mario the owner. "

"Unbelievably stunning setting. You will need to be a confident driver to manage the roads up to the house as the roads are steep and winding as you would expect in Tuscany. The smell of Jasmine and the natural peaceful surrounding beauty is amazing. We used the pool everyday and enjoyed a bbq too. "The small house is in a secluded spot with fantastic views of Castiglione and the mountains, both from the terrace as well as the bedroom. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a really nice addition. The owners welcomed us with traditional food and wine, which was very unexpected but very welcome when we arrived in the late afternoon. They also provided us with a lot of recommendations regarding both restaurants and fun things to do in the area. We highly recommend the house and plan to be back. "

"We loved our stay at the villa. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the pool. The hosts were helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive. The area has recently been a center of attention on BBC with Amanda Holden, Rob Rinder and Clive Myrie. However, if you don't like heights and hairpin bends up a mountainside, this might not be the villa for you."
