"I’m so glad we booked Virtudes City Lofts. Veronica was so helpful, organising a transfer from Porto airport and letting us into our room earlier than official check-in as it had been cleaned. It’s great to be so close to the river and surrounding area. The room was comfortable and clean, and a welcoming mini bottle of red wine was waiting for us when we arrived. "

"Very unique space. Fun old character building but bright modern and freshly renovated interior. Very walkable location but was nice and quiet. Beds were very comfy. Didn’t do any cooking so can’t comment on kitchen. Only thing I’d note is that yes there is a coffee maker but you have to buy your own ground coffee. Not an issue it something nice to know ahead of arrival. Staff were amazing and would highly recommend. "

"The location is excellent for sight seeing as the property is very near the Don Louis bridge. The access is via a lot of steps. Quite difficult to find but we were met at the Cathedral and shown the way. I would recommend booking the taxi through the owners as it is cheaper than the airport taxis and they know where to drop you. The apartment is small but well designed and equipped. Our one complaint was that the television did not work and no one came to fix it. "

"Great experience! Very friendly host, wonderful cafe on the ground floor for breakfast (owned by same people), great location. It is right next to the tunnel, so while there is some road noise, the shutters close on the french doors and it blocks it out well. The view of the river and fortress across the way is very nice!! 10/10"

"Pros Nice location Clean Our unit is facing the opposite side of the street so it was quite quiet The host was very responsive and helpful. Cons Upstair bathroom is short and small 2 bedrooms are small. Could barely open carry-on luggage on the floor. The stairs to the bedrooms are a bit challenging. 3 storeys of stairs to climb from the ground floor. It should be 4.5 stars but no such option available"

"The continental breakfast was simple but always fresh. Cleaning staff asked every day if anything needed doing. Reception staff always ready to offer advice on where to dine, walk or visit depending on the amount of time we had that day. While I am aware that the hotel is not a 4 star hotel, the staff made it feel it could be. "

"Reservation for 3 A lovely new hotel. It's just 10 minutes away from Bolhao Market and other major shopping, sightseeing area i.e. churches. It's a small boutique hotel no complain with the size and the room but there is no lobby area. Since we arrived early very tired and check in time is late in the afternoon, there is not much room area to wait inside the hotel especially on rainy day of February except for the couch by the front desk. The reception suggest we go to the backyard patio but there is no cover or heat and it was cold and rainy season. If there was a couch in the library room we would have stay there instead of waiting by the front desk. We just waited patiently for a room to be available since the hotel is fully booked. The front desk was kind enough to checked us in as soon a room was prepared and that was a blessing. We did not encounter any issue with all the staff during our stay and everyone we encounter are pleasant and accommodating. If you prefer to stay away from the crowded area this is a good place to rest and very safe area. The breakfast and pizza was good. The breakfast area is small and it's always busy in the morning we only ate there one time and the food are all fresh. The backyard patio will be useful during spring and summer season. "
