"The location was within 15 mins walking from the beach but... going uphill, makes the best cardio stress test you can get for a while. The property is located far away from the main streets of the city which is good (for the noise) but bad if you intend to walk there, for the reasons already mentioned. "This place was awful. NO AIR CONDITIONING which is not mentioned anywhere on Expedia. Apparently, Expedia has that info but not listed anywhere. Would not have booked this place if I had known there was no air conditioning. No fans either and on top of that window was broken and couldn't be opened. Temp was close to 80 when I got there. Expedia was of no help finding me another room. Left within an hour of arriving. Temp next day was 102 degrees. Unacceptable at any price."

"This is an excellent apartment with free parking on the street right outside the building. We visited in winter so parking was plentiful but there is also a paid lot near the apartment if street parking is full. It has a washing machine and renovated bathroom and kitchen. The terrace is a good size and provided a great view of the beautiful beach. We stayed here and took the 1 hour (4.5 Euros/person one way) bus ride into Lisbon. It was a great way to visit busy Lisbon and enjoy a beach town as well. Carla, the property manager, gave great advice on where to eat and buy groceries etc. She was very helpful. "

Sesimbra Oceanfront Hotel - Preferred Hotels and Resorts

"We were very impressed with the location of this hotel - front row seats to 24-hour ocean waves. There was a glitch with the water/pipes in the wing we were in and we had to move rooms. The staff was apologetic and amazing in their professionalism to find solutions that worked. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Every room has a balcony I think. The seagulls float in the outdoor pool which is kind of nasty but since it’s January we didn’t plan on swimming out there. The location to local eateries is very close too which is a bonus. The tile work on the walls at floor 0 and up to floor 5 is amazing. I recommend this hotel to people. We enjoyed our stay very much. The village is beautiful. The people and staff are nice!"

"Fantastic location, great ocean view, excellent service, and a delicious breakfast. My only concern was with the shower, which was lukewarm on two of my three nights. When I reported it to the front desk, they explained that it was due to high demand at the same time, but this didn’t make sense, as it wasn’t a busy season. For a four-star hotel, I’d expect a reliable hot water supply regardless of occupancy. Overall, though, a great experience with just this one small issue."

"This is an awesome place to stop for a vacation very close to the beach (2 minutes by car or 15 minutes jogging). The kitchen has plenty of pots and utensils, a gas stove and a fridge. You may also make new friends cause there might be other people renting other rooms. There are many restaurants around and a superstore. We'll stop there again on our next trip to Portugal. "
