Excellent greeting at reception but ground floor to Room 060 needs attention. Doors, wallpaper, skirting poor. Room v good. Sourdough bread rock hard with Camembert in bar meal and we should have sent it back as uneatable. Generally we enjoyed our stay and staff were excellent

Great place to stay

Lovely stay in kingsize deluxe room. Everything was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff Emily was really helpful - thank you! Only disappointment was that the spa hot tub was out of order which would have made the stay absoloutely perfect.

Hotel is a bit dated, especially for the cost. Breakfast was very poor. No scrambled eggs available, a staple of the breakfast buffet! Staff don’t seem interested in customers. Lack of engagement. Unexpected charge on bill which reception were unable to explain and needed more time to investigation.

Nice restaurant and liked that it had pool, gym & sauna facilities. £5 charge per adult to use and kids can only use during certain times. Breakfast was very good, the hashbrowns were lovely. A little dated decor and some wear & tear around the hotel but a comfortable stay overall with 2 young children.

Excellent property next to good transport links and we stayed in a family suite which was beautiful. The breakfast was amazing and the checkin check out process was a breeze. Lesley in the Breakfast room was lovely, great service and very helpful and courteous to my children.

The property is a little dated but the rooms are clean. We were disappointed to find that we couldn’t use ethernet cables to connect to the internet and our work laptops wouldn't work on the public wifi (due to VPN security). The lounge bar is a bit disappointing - no ambiance - just a TV at the end of the room that was showing golf when we stopped by for a drink. We didn’t have breakfast and we didn’t try the restaurant for dinner so I can’t comment on the food or restaurant ambiance. The hotel seems overpriced but there isn’t much choice in the area. Casa Hotel in Chesterfield is a good cheaper alternative at the other end of the dual carriageway but the location isn’t ideal if you want to be based in Sheffield!

Very comfortable and convenient for our visit. Hotel was a little tired looking and Spa needs upgrading with the swimming pool freezing and jacuzzi not working. But bedroom was very comfortable and staff were very helpful.

Good and would go back

Hotel was lovely and quiet. But I guess if there was an event on then it may be busier. Hotel was good. We had issues with food and restaurant but that is not down to hotel. Room service food was cold but they quickly fixed it and restaurant was ok but not great for egg intolerance..... Most sauces and so on had egg in them. This is not a big issue but simply worth noting
