"I really enjoyed my stay at Kashiwaya Ryokan. Although it was long to get to without a car, it was worth the travel. The 2 days there didn’t feel like it was enough time. "Beautiful scenic outdoor bath, comfortable beds, and good meals. Change rooms were clean, but very run down. Non-smoking room still smelled like smoke, which seems to be normal for big old ryokans. If you really want to avoid smoke, stay in a newer place. Staff was very helpful and friendly."
