"Having stayed previously at The Churchill it was an easy choice to make this year on our annual trip to York. The hotel is a leisurely 10 min stroll to the Minster. We had been allocated a suite as we were staying 3 nights,it was beautiful, spotlessly clean, with toiletries and beverages to make you feel at home. As before we had a cheese platter and drinks on our arrival in the hotel bar....so welcoming and relaxing. ALL staff were exceptional, so friends and helpful, especially Ian on...

"Ideally located in the centre of town. Rooms are spacious with good size bathroom. All clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a little disappointing-as with ‘self service’ it is about timing so it is a matter of luck how long the food has been sat on a ‘warmer’ and they are never hot enough to start with. All staff were pleasant and tried their best. For £245 a night I think the food should be a better standard."
