We were there 7 nights/8days and it rained for 3 days but we found other things to do other than hiking and enjoyed ourselves. "My family and I had a great stay at the Skylight Lodge. It is very different from other rentals, being a former inn. There is plenty of space for a big group and the two master suites are great. The fireplace in the main room is like something out of game of thrones, and was the highlight of the trip for the adults. "The king room is very spacious. However, the tub would not drain, the entry light would not turn on and the elevators are a little old and rickety. The property sprawls a large area so it’s a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby from the parking. We went for a wedding and the event space was very pretty, but dated. "Repeat visitor. Had another good experience. The bed comfort was not the same as the bed i stayed in in room 5 but thankful to have a bed. There is new wood floor in the room i am in. So nice they take cats. Comfortable chairs in the room. Renovated space. Bigger fridge. Table with chairs a plus too. Heat pumo works great. Very decorative. There is a Christmas tree too. Nice fluffy blanket. And snack lounge always open with free food. I have not visited yet on this excursion but still have time."

Look no further, way better than the Hampton Inn

"This is the best value stay in Bennington. As a parent of a Bennington College student, we have stayed at several properties in the area, including this one before it was renovated. The rooms are bright and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable. The furniture is new. The TV is smart and you can get Netflix or other streaming services. The bathroom was a shower only, but it was brand new and the water pressure was great. The temperature in the room was comfortable, I think the heating cooling system is new. Coffee bar in the lobby a little lacking, kuerig, with hazelnut coffee mate, a plain choice would be great. Staff was amazingly kind and adequate. They are not on the property 100% of the time, but that is okay. "
