"Don't, under any circumstances, take a room with an "arcade view"! The view is internal view of empty spaces, and they never turn off the lights so your room will be bright all night long regardless of curtain configuration. The area is also in a bad neighborhood and between the beggars and homeless it felt very unsafe and unsavory."

Updated Historical apartment close to a park and two blocks from the best dining
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay, and everything was set up well. There was even a patio to sit at in the evening. We walked to a fancy restaurant in the neighborhood and had a fantastic dinner."
"This is literally a brand new hotel right in the middle of downtown Dayton. It is in the arcade building, a historic building that has recently been brought back to life after 25 years being closed. It’s very nice inconvenient. The staff seems very excited to be there."

"It was a nice, quiet, clean little neighborhood where the people seemed to take care of their homes and their street. It was really pleasant staying there.
We were attending a weeklong event (the Corvair Affair) at the nearby Marriott at Dayton University. We only live 45 minutes North up Rte. 75, but didn't want to commute everyday, and also didn't want to pay hotel prices. We feel that we always find a better deal on VRBO to meet our needs. This was certainly one of those better deals.
As I said, the neighborhood was quiet and clean. Each night we spent time on the front porch talking and smoking (and disposing properly of our butts/don't litter people). We loved the layout of the home.
There is a comfortable eat in kitchen. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and the laundry room are on the lower level. The lower-level living room is more of a parlor/no TV down there. Although there is a TV in each bedroom, one of them is not connected yet.
The upper level is one large family room with a large comfortable couch, that can easily seat six fatties, like me, with plenty more space on the floor for sitting or stretching out. There is a larger TV up here that is wall mounted. There is also a table and a couple of chairs that can be repositioned in front of the couch to play some of the provided board games.
Quality linens/towels provided, as well as dish/laundry and bath soaps & shampoo.
The host was a delight and very quick to respond to queries. It's a 5 star stay"
