"The accommodation was as expected. The problems arose about checking in. To access the property you are sent a keypad code for the main entrance and the unit. The codes did not work. The staff was able to remotely unlock the doors but could not rectify the problem. This meant we could not leave the apartment or we would be locked out. Not the best situation. The staff offered to let us back in remotely if we called back. Not a situation I was comfortable with. "

"Quite and simple motel with nice wooden cottages. Very friendly staff. They are not always present for check in because they are frequently doing wildlife safaris. "My family stayed at Vollsnes Feriehus this August and it was by far our favorite place we stayed during our trip to Norway! Simply put, it was one of the most picturesque places we have ever stayed! The cabin was beautifully decorated, the host family was warm and inviting, the view from our deck was stunning, and we all had fun using the kayaks, paddleboards, and row boat. Very Authentic Rustic Place

Fireplaces in kitchen and living room provide the heat for the whole house. A for had been started for us and starter materials and matches with sufficient wood was supplied. We used only the fireplace in the kitchen in late August. The stairs to the two bedrooms upstairs have a sharp angle and are wider at the wall and very narrow As the step goes away from the wall. My wife choose to sleep on the sofa downstairs because you would have to use the steps to use the bathroom at night. We are in our late 70s. May not be a problem for the very agile. All in all a fun place. Al in all living"
